Sad news. Evgeny Sveshnikov (1950-2021) had a profound influence over modern opening theory (and, as a consequence, his ideas reached into several world championship matches). He was engaging and stimulating company.

Some recent and very interesting developments: @Chessable has launched its app, @Chesscom has dramatically improved its broadcasts page, and @Lichess has turned its 1.7 billion game database into a human-like neural network.
