I was a Mercedes junior myself once, so I know how much belief, work and patience goes into a young driver before the big moment arrives. And in 1999 I learned how hard it is to keep a title fight together until the very end. 9 wins, calm in every situation, and still a humble guy. Seeing Lewis and Max carry you on their shoulders says it all. Enjoy it, you earned it.
I can't overstate how delighted and excited I am by Kimi Antonelli's championship win.
Bravo! Grande, Kimi!
I'm also honoured to have a few words about Kimi, and all the Mercedes champions, on the @MercedesAMGF1 website.

I was in the F1 paddock once, and I was *acutely* aware that I was in a working environment and that everyone is busy.
If a driver requires "sufficient security" then the sport needs to do better.
Isack Hadjar has received a formal warning for a breach of the ISC for his push of a fan yesterday. #F1 #MexicoGP
"The driver stated that he was running late for FP1 and had stopped to have a photograph with a young fan when he was approached by a Paddock guest in an
aggressive manner.
"One security person was walking behind him and was unable to intervene and prevent what was tantamount to an invasion of the driver’s private space.
"The driver initially resisted the move by placing his hand on the waist of the guest, holding him at bay, then the driver pushed him aside with his open right hand.
"This latter action by the driver is regarded as a breach of the regulations; however, in mitigation of penalty, the stewards considered the following matters:
a) The driver was reacting to an uninvited and rather aggressive action by another person
b) The driver was endeavouring to make his way to the start of FP1 through a congested area
c) The driver did not have sufficient security present
d) The guest was invading his personal space without his consent.
e) The general issue drivers have experienced moving through the Paddock
In fact I didn't say hello to @thomasmaheronf1 because he was busy grabbing a couple of quotes from Toto.
Normalise respect... and giving a little shove to those who act like a dick!

A very happy 85th birthday to Derek Bell.
They don't make them like him anymore.

This is a line which seems to be crossed far too many times by fans now they can buy their way into paddocks so easily. Hadjar should not be in trouble, this OLDER man should not be touching him
Paddocks are work places, not show grounds. Drivers are people, not property

Sorry to hear of Sir Patrick Stewart's passing.
I immediately thought of this - his tribute to a childhood hero and fellow Knight of the Realm.
