I started to warn and inform people here why/how we should protect each other in Jan 2020, 250,000 tweets. I know why I've been practically invisible here for years, but retweets can trick the algorithms. I get some likes, but very few RTs. No one cares. xitter.gq/JoannaTeglund/status/2…
January 26, 2020, Piazza IX Aprile, Taormina. I sat there for hours, processing the information and looking ahead. I knew it was a bioweapons attack, a threat to humanity, and I knew we would throw our children under the bus. Since then, I've cried about our children every day.

in 2026 kids can’t read because they keep getting covid and teachers and parents both contribute to that
Teachers are right, it’s the parents.

everyones like “wow everyone’s brains and bodies and behaviors and health are sooo bad now this is baffling whatever could it be!! it must be something we’ve all been doing for decades without seeing these effects & not the brand new virus we’re just learning about the impact of”

Many people and even some media are talking about the sudden rise in rare cancers and the increase in cancer in general, especially in younger people. What could it…..IT’S BECAUSE OF COVID!!! It destroys the body and attacks the immune system, advocates have been warning you.

The tragic truth is that many studies have shown that Covid infections can reactivate dormant cancer cells & trigger growth of secondary cancers. The BuDS Disability Service charity have an excellent summary of the latest research at the link below ⬇️ buds.org.uk/covid-and-cancer…
Covid-19 infections can reactivate dormant cancer cells, & trigger the growth of secondary cancers. There is now compelling medical evidence to this effect. Read the full story on our website: buds.org.uk/covid-and-cancer…

Another great🧵from Zdenek—a study that concerns billions of children infected multiple times during 12 waves of SARS-CoV-2. Zdenek is nice—he says not really. I'm straight. Not really means not. No studies prove cleansing of the virus or recovery is possible. Wear a f*cking mask
A new PECOS study followed children and young people after SARS-CoV-2 infection and compared them with uninfected controls. The question was simple - do post COVID symptoms in kids fade over the first year? The answer - not really.

'Back to normal' AKA back to 2019 is a fantasy. You can't go back to something that doesn't exist anymore. You can do all the 2019 things for a premium price that will cost you financially and risk your health. I'm so sorry and so angry we can't go back to 2019.

I wonder how many of them actually believe this? Or is it a result of the damage Covid has done to their cognitive abilities? I know the push to ignore Covid is economic (short-term), but it's still shocking to see how willing people are to do self-harm

Long Covid is straight up stealing brains. 🧠 🦠 OP caught it 4 years ago and now has to relearn their friends favorite shows and entire movies (They write everything down because they forget in under a minute even though scans are clear). The comments are wild. One got so lost driving home from the grocery store. A Delta survivor had to relearn how to use their cellphone, laptop, banking app and even how to walk and eat 4 years later. Another is being referred to a neurologist for dementia. A dad keeps forgetting names of friends and family, forgetting his son’s birthday, and relies on a Notes app so stuffed it looks like a digital hoarders closet to remember things. The silver lining is that one person can rewatch movies forever because they have no clue how they end! We are urgently running out of time. Long Covid isnt just wrecking physical health, it’s erasing minds, identities and daily life.

How many get organ damage after SARS-CoV-2 infection depends on who you ask and how well they check If you ask me, 100% get persistent, progressive damage Well done autopsies show 100% But you can't go around telling people 100%. Call it 10% and let's move on Covid is Long Covid
This is the reason that I stated years ago that Once you have Covid, you HAVE Covid. There should have never been a term Long Covid. The term “others” when it is literally ALL whether they know it or not, and whether the symptoms are obvious or not. Some people think in terms of the prolonged symptoms of the initial SARS entry as “long covid” but not the Covid-related illnesses that developed weeks/months/year later. Then there are other people who think that those with “long covid” are only those who have been seriously debilitated and have limited mobility.

By January 2020, I knew SARS-CoV-2 was a threat to humanity and began warning here in 250,000+ tweets. A month later, it became clear I was right. Six years later billions infected, the virus is persistent, there's no cure, and I'm the most shadowbanned person on Twitter.

Why did nobody warn you? I can tell you. Late March 2020, I was part of the COVID taskforce of the German Interior Ministry. In our first report from 27 March, we were probably the first in Western countries to warn about long-term sequelae from COVID, based on experience with SARS (2003) and data about COVID from China. We also argued against herd immunity strategy. A few days later, the German government abandoned herd immunity. But we, and I personally, were violently attacked by influential German right-wing media, followed by major mainstream media, including moderate left-wing. A massive defamatory media campaign. My university threatened to fire me (they actually did a few months ago). That's how mainstream media and the academic community silenced those who knew and warned.

This is what I mean when I call the COVID pandemic the most boringly insidious zombie movie ever. Instead of animated, flesh-eating corpses, everyone slowly becomes a self-centered asshole.
Empathy requires fully functioning frontal lobes. COVID damages the frontal lobes. This is well documented. People continue to be repeatedly infected with SARS-CoV-2. Each reinfection inflicts further damage to your brain and your lobes. Diminishing empathy is very real.

In the unlikely event anyone who has been protecting themselves from infection with respirator masks and is considering unmasking because “the risk is low now” I’m going to offer up a long thread on a kind of risk management I was trained in as it may help for decision making 🧵
