Today we learned another of our own has passed away. Adriana Ortiz Plasencia was passionate about Sacramento and the @SacramentoKings.
She sat front and center at every city council meeting and made her voice be heard in other ways.
Thank you for being a part of who we are. RIP

20 years ago, the Sacramento Monarchs competed in the 2006 WNBA Finals against the Detroit Shock.
Ultimately the Monarchs fell in a winner-take-all game 5 at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit.
Still, wonderful memories of an exciting team.
