Meet Irene & Jon: our Compassionate Neighbours project coordinator & lead. Throughout lockdown, the team has been linking people up throughout Greenwich and Bexley to support each other.
Hi Everyone! Little bit early as we’ve got an errand to run.. We’ve missed #greenwichhour but have been busy.. over the past five years, we’ve now got 275 Compassionate Neighbours!
More importantly.. we are always looking for more people to get involved and spend time with someone who is lonely and would love to meet someone new.
We’re asking people to introduce us to people they know who’d like to be part of this movement supporting people at @gbchospice ! If everyone could introduce us to four or five potential volunteers.. #powerof5

Last week I visited them and met with patients and staff. I thanked the staff for all their hard work over a difficult few years.
It’s super easy to vote - and we’d be SO excited if @gbchospice makes it onto the board!

This is like a lesson in how to facilitate older people while honouring who they are.
What a class act by @ladygaga with legend Liza Minnelli.
The conferred whispers of "I gotcha" "I know" picked up by the mikes make it especially touching.
We're anticipating more need than ever for our support over the winter: so get in touch now to get involved and support someone who is isolated and nearing the end of life through age or illness.
