@LawAsaf and I had a chance to speak to @COMMONSpod about prison labour. Prison administrators argue that work programs are a key part of rehabilitation--but how does excluding people from basic labour and health & safety rights advance their rehabilitation? #canlab #canpoli
All labour exists on a spectrum, ranging from enslavement at one pole, to fully, freely given on the other.
And, in Canada, at the most extreme end of that spectrum are prison labourers.

Listening to @CANADALAND podcast @COMMONSpod Work, and it’s like a history of how patriotism in Canada has died. So much to be learned, and so thankful for the brave warriors featured in the program. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Best season of Commons so far.

If you haven't heard them yet, please download @CANADALAND's awesome new Commons podcast season on Work. For the pilot I spoke with @ArshyMann about the generation-long 'war on workers' and how it's tilted the labour market in employers' favour: canadaland.com/podcast/work-… #canlab

I remain extremely impressed by this?series.
Migrant farm workers in Canada can be fired and deported at will, their voices are rarely ever heard in this country.
But Gabriel Allahdua is one of the few who can now speak up. And the story he has to tell is startling.

Thank you for the interview and the amazing job you did taking on the subject of MLMs!
The promise of financial freedom can be an intoxicating lure.
But MLMs, like so many other cultish enterprises, are about more than just money.
They’re about transcendence.
