The stalking law places far too much onus on victims to evidence the impact. Victims must show they are fearful to obtain the right charge or conviction. This gratifies the stalker and proves their success. The law punishes victims who resist the stalkers oppressive behaviour.

This week I warned @Keir_Starmer that the prison crisis puts govt's pledge to halve #VAWG at risk.
As they consider early release schemes, I urge govt to exempt #DomesticAbuse perpetrators so that victims don't pay the price.

I am very concerned about the number of Claire's Law requests being refused.
