See for yourself how the 9/11 Memorial Museum proposes to teach students in grades 9–12:
(Part I) 911memorial.org/learn/studen…
(Part II) 911memorial.org/learn/studen…
(Part III) 911memorial.org/learn/studen…
And there is much more: 911memorial.org/learn
Do you think we should conduct a deep investigation of the educational section of the 9/11 Memorial Museum?
The doctrine of violent jihad [1] found in the Koran (the words of Allah), the Sira (Mohammed’s biography), and the Hadith (Mohammed’s traditions) was the direct motivation for the killing of nearly 3,000 people on 9/11 2001 — the largest jihad attack on U.S. soil. Almost one third of the Islamic primary doctrine (Koran, Sira, and Hadith) is devoted to jihad [2].
📈 ➡️ Visit our continuously updated open-source database of Islamic violent terror attacks here: cspii.org/attacks
The Koran dedicates almost 1/10 of its content to jihad, Hadith Sahih Al-Bukhari dedicates more than 1/5 of its content to jihad, and the most famous biography of Mohammed (Sira by Guillaume) dedicates more than 2/3 of its content to jihad. This means Mohammed spent a significant proportion of his life fighting non-Muslims, especially the Jews (in fact, 9% of these Islamic doctinal texts are anti-Jew text).

Terror is an integral part of Islamic primary doctrine. Here are just a few examples:
Hadith [Bukhari 2977]
Mohammed: […] I have been made victorious with terror (cast in the hearts of the enemy) […]
Koran 3:151
We will cast into the hearts of the unbelievers terror […]
Koran 8:12
[...] I shall cast into the unbelievers' hearts terror; so smite above the necks, and smite every finger of them!
Koran 59:2
[...] He cast terror into their hearts as they destroyed their houses with their own hands, and the hands of the believers […]

Zohran Mamdani captured the NYC mayoral election riding a wave not only of popularity but also of controversy. He was once an aspiring rapper with a song giving his love to the convicted jihadists (sentenced to up to 65 years in prison for terrorism-related crimes) known as the "Holy Land Five." [1] He has made accusations of Israel committing genocide [2] and supported the BDS movement (Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions) [3]. He did not criticize Hamas [4] nor discourage use of the slogan, "Globalize the intifada," [5] a clear incitement of violence toward Jews on a global scale, until he faced intense media scrutiny. Despite all this, one third of the Jewish population of NYC still voted for him [6]. How could this happen? Why would it happen?
🎙️ Speaker: Milan Podlipný, CSPII CEO
In order to answer this question, it is necessary to delve into the history of the Jewish diaspora. Join our host, Milan Podlipny, and our guest, historian Udi Manor [7] as they explore the concept of belonging and how much Jews sacrificed to try to fit into various societies at different times in history. This conversation is salient for all people and is sure to leave you pondering questions of belonging, identity, and authenticity and how people cope when faced with overwhelming pressure to fit in.

The best way to measure the growth of Political Islam is by counting the number of Islamic organizations. You can check your own country here: cspii.org/learn-political-is…

The Growth of Islamic Organizations in Spain 🇪🇸
This map shows that the number of Islamic organizations is steadily growing. For this reason, we must understand how they influence non-Islamic societies and learn more about the foundation on which they operate—the Islamic doctrine itself.
Islamic organizations adhere to the Islamic doctrine found in the Koran, Sira and Hadith. 51% of this doctrine relates to non-Muslims. We define this 51% of the doctrine about non-Muslims as "Political Islam." Therefore, all Islamic organizations represent Political Islam to some extent.
The visualization provided by our maps is designed to give scientists, politicians, state representatives and the general public a better understanding of the expansion of Political Islam in non-Islamic countries and initiate further research focusing on the impact of Islamic organizations on their societies.

This video examines New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s past as a rapper. In one of his songs [1] , he expressed his love for the convicted jihadis known as the "Holy Land Five", who were sentenced to up to 65 years in prison for terrorism-related crimes. He makes other statements on Islamic political migration (hijra) [2] , all placed in the context of the largest jihad [3] attack on U.S. soil: the 9/11 jihad attack.
The paradox is that the new NYC Mayor Mamdani adheres to the same doctrine found in the Koran (the words of Allah) and the Sunna (the example of Mohammed), which was the direct motivation for the killing of nearly 3,000 people, most of them in New York City in 2001. The Koran — on which he swore his oath of office [4] — dedicates 9% of its text to jihad [5] .

📈 ➡️ Download the CSPII FGM INDEX 2026 here: cspii.org/methodology/fgm-fe…
CSPII FGM INDEX draws on more data sources than other assessments of FGM, such as UNICEF’s. Here are some findings from CSPII’s FGM INDEX 2026:
◾ 297–307 million women and girls alive today have undergone female genital mutilation (FGM). This amounts to one in every thirteen women and girls alive today.
◾ 85% of this FGM is attributable to Muslim populations.
◾ Immigration from FGM-practising Islamic countries has introduced FGM to countries hitherto unaffected. There are, for example, 577,000 victims in the USA, 161,000 in Canada and 139,000 in France. In Sweden 1.3% of all girls and women are affected.
Muslim girls and women are the primary victims of FGM because Islamic doctrine supports FGM.
Many organizations combatting FGM deny any connection between Islamic doctrine and FGM. This puts at risk the lives, health and welfare of millions of women and girls since no solution is effective that does not take into account the true causes of a problem. It is our hope that CSPII’s annual FGM INDEX, by highlighting the gravity of the problem and by exposing links between Islamic doctrine and FGM, will contribute to a better understanding of the nature and causes of FGM, and thereby help eliminate this grave violation of the dignity and rights of children, and the women they grow up to be.

Schools in England currently find themselves in a serious mess when it comes to religious, physical, sex, and fine arts education—all because of Political Islam.
A new booklet of guidance for schools and teachers, called "Sharing the Journey," [1] has been issued by a number of Labour-run city councils for teachers and schools. In it is a warning [2] that children’s drawings may be considered blasphemous under Sharia law and that classes in music and/or dancing may also go against Islam’s teachings.
While several other groups are mentioned, the booklet pays particular attention to Muslims and Islam. It advises permitting changes to the school uniform for Muslim girls so that they will be able to conform with hijab (Islamic dress code); allowing older boys time off on Fridays to attend compulsory prayers [3] either at a mosque or in a designated space in the school; and providing halal lunch options in the cafeteria.
During the month of Ramadan fasting and the accompanying three-day feast of Eid-al-Fitr, teachers and schools are encouraged to show flexibility and make allowances such as extra prayer times (if prayer is allowed in school), less strenuous activities during gym class, and days off during Ramadan and Eid. Schools are also advised to avoid scheduling parent-teacher conferences and important exams during this time.
In the section subtitled “Opportunities for Prayer and Reflection,” Sharing the Journey highly recommends providing a space for prayer and reflection for all students. It goes into some detail regarding Islamic prayer requirements and encourages allowing Muslim students [...]

To the subject matter: Our study on the "Legal Foundations of Israel under the Influence of Political Islam and the Origins of the Name Palestine", presented by Marco Moshe Bumaguin, CSPII Specialist on Israel’s History and Senior Lecturer.
Drawing on a wealth of historical documents and archaeological evidence, this comprehensive study examines the millennia-long presence of the Jewish people in the land that now constitutes the State of Israel—beginning as early as 1200 BC—and traces developments up to the issuance of internationally recognized legal documents affirming Jewish sovereignty.

Political Islam: Definition & Correct Usage
Dr. Bill Warner, the co-founder of @CSPIIorg, found during his research of Islamic doctrine that there is an immense amount of prescriptive text directed toward non-Muslims and decided to quantify it. He carefully counted this amount of text and ended up with the figure of 51%. This textual body divides the world into two groups “us” (Muslims / Umma) and “them” (Kafirs - a derogatory word for non-Muslims). This division is not politically neutral. Kafirs are dehumanized, even described as “worst of created beings” (Koran 98:6). This is, from non-Islamic point of view, political. Therefore the choice of the name “Political Islam.” We urge everyone to study and use Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) and the Political Discourse Analysis (PDA) in the context of Islamic doctrinal research.
It is entirely true that, from the Islamic point of view, the Islamic doctrine (Islam) is one—politics and religion are inseparable. However, by accepting this point of view of an undivided doctrine, you must operate, to certain extent, within the already predefined formal Islamic setting that is widely rooted in non-Islamic societies (such as the incorrect definition of Islam within non-Islamic legal systems, academia influenced by Islamic scholars and funding, and politicians unknowingly influenced by dawa, etc.). This leads to becoming stuck in the emotional “quicksand” of theology instead of switching to the free range of pragmatic politics.
Political Islam creates new non-Islamic formal framework, shifting control of the subject from Islamic authorities to non-Islamic ones. While Islamic authorities strategically position themselves, and are generally accepted, as the “go-to” sources on Islam, they are provably incompetent in the field of Political Islam. Why? Their own doctrine does not allow to extract Political Islam from Islamic doctrine and treat it as a separate political system. Those authorities are submitted to Mohammed and Allah, and, therefore can face a death penalty if considered non-Muslim for critically examining their own doctrine. This disqualifies Islamic authorities as experts on Political Islam, as a political ideology, in full. This approach makes the subject accessible through a new, non-Islamic analytical lens. Therefore, using Political Islam gives not only tactical, but strategic advantage in any debate, policy discussion or by addressing any national and/or international security issue. By using Political Islam, Islamic "competition" becomes irrelevant and obsolete. A correct definition and use of Political Islam redefines whole market with information and shifts the power center from Islamic to the non-Islamic one.
As stated in the original post: “Using a precise definition of “Political Islam” enables the subject to be recategorized and de-religionized, moving it away from the field of theology into the fields of national security, political science, and political geography. This is where, from a non-Islamic point of view, Political Islam—an embedded political ideology within the primary Islamic doctrine itself—belongs.”
While more and more people are ready to outlaw Sharia, there is hesitation by many to address the foundation of Sharia - Islamic doctrine itself which is perceived as religious (or religious as well). Those who oppose Sharia are empowered because it is primarily a legal and political concept. That's why it makes it easier to target. Our precise definition of Political Islam, as a political ideology, enables to treat this part of the Islamic doctrine accordingly.
Once the separation is made, clergy, politicians, academics, national security professionals, and others can discuss (and address) Political Islam as they would any other political ideology—in a clear, structured, non-emotional, and, most importantly, non-religious manner. This surgical approach makes it easy to introduce the discussion into a wide range of settings. It is strongly empowering. It switches the discourse from a short term tactic into a long-term strategy.

Islam is a complete civilizational system that includes both political and religious components. It is crucial to know that 51% of Islamic primary doctrine—which is comprised of the Koran, the Hadith (what Mohammed said and did) and the Sira (Mohammed’s life story)—is about non-Muslims and how to treat them. We define this part of the doctrine as "Political Islam." From a non-Islamic perspective, the question of how to treat those who do not adhere to this system is a political issue, not a religious one.

Using this methodology enables factual, non-religious exchange without the necessity of using terms such as “radical Islam” or “Islamism,” etc., which have no firm definition. They can also suggest, for example, that violent jihad has nothing to do with Islamic doctrine, which is, of course, incorrect.

In Islamic doctrine, non-Muslims are referred to as Kafirs, which is an extremely negative word as Kafirs are “the worst of all creatures” (Koran 98:6) who are “hated by Allah” (Koran 40:35). A great deal of the doctrine is about submission, the goal of making everyone submit to Mohammed and Allah, and jihad, the set of methods for fighting against Kafirs until they do so. Jihad, which includes violent and non-violent tools for subjugating Kafirs, makes up 31% of Islamic doctrine.
