"My journey at Osler started as a respiratory therapy student in 2010. I was hired on after my placement, and have spent the last 15 years working across Etobicoke General, Brampton Civic and Peel Memorial. I've had the opportunity to work on the front lines, develop policies, mentor students, contribute to airway management initiatives and contribute to projects that helped me grow personally and professionally. When TMU’s medical school opened, I saw it as an opportunity to challenge myself and see what was possible.
I am now well into my second year of medical school and my goal hasn’t changed: take everything I've learned at Osler, and now at TMU, and bring it back to the people and community that shaped me. Do I see myself coming back to Osler as a physician? One hundred percent."
- Mauran Patkunasingam, Respiratory Therapist at Osler, and second-year medical student at @TorontoMet
