All five of the Cambridge team made the second round of the individual event on Saturday, with Andrew and Konstantyn making the last 16. A solid team performance saw them finish runners up to Bristol 1sts in their group.
Meanwhile, Alex Fisher is flying the Cambridge flag in the Individual Trophy. Currently in a tight first frame vs Max Burt of Warwick. Best of 3 makes the semi. #FistlersArmy
Day two of Midlands Cup in Northampton. The Cambridge team reached the quarter finals of the team event, and are due to play Warwick 1sts at 11am.
T Fisher pots the final black to win the last frame for CUPSC in apt fashion. 21-11 the winning margin. First ever snooker varsity Victory for the sky blues. #neverindoubt
What a way to do it! Alex Fisher with a brilliant 61 (high break) to see off Matt Kennedy, followed by a 44 from A Derrett to clinch the 17th frame. Classy! #CUPSC
Looking good! 8-12 up. Jeremi Miller and Tom Fisher with outstanding pots on black ball frames to keep @OUPSC at bay.
Chilled lunch in Abingdon for the snooker team ahead of the Varsity match with Oxford. Spirits high after yesterday's pool victory.
Never in doubt! With singles matches still going, CUPSC have got to the 45 frames required. Great competition as always from @OUPSC, but today Oxford is sky blue!
Varsity Pool 2018 kicks off in only 20 mins! Spirits are high in the CUPSC camp. Looking for a repeat of last year's dramatic 46-44 victory.
Well done to Michael Hutcheon (left) for winning the Pool Novices' Tournament. He beat Dhruv Nanavati (right) 4-3 in the final.
