🇬🇧 The UK is raising the top tax rate on savings interest and property income to 49% from April 2027.
🇩🇪 Germany will apply a 47% income-tax rate to taxable income above €280,000 starting in 2027.
🇭🇺 Hungary’s government has proposed an annual wealth tax starting at 1% on net taxable wealth above 1 billion forints, roughly €2.6-2.7 million.
🇪🇸 Spain already charges a 3% Digital Services Tax on covered digital revenues.

THORChain is the world's first cross chain decentralized exchange. It's been operating for over 5 years now.
Before, the only scalable way to trade between Bitcoin and Ethereum was going through a centralized exchange.
Atomic swaps were available, however they can't scale. Bridges and wrapped tokens were used, but they introduced counterparty risk. There wasn't a proper DEX to swap Bitcoin in a self custody wallet for Ethereum in a self custody wallet.
Vitalik Buterin highlighted this problem back in March 2020, expressing his frustration that there wasn't an easy way to move between Bitcoin and Ethereum without relying on centralized exchanges.
THORChain was built to solve this problem.
THORChain was designed like Bitcoin and Ethereum, to be permissionless, censorship-resistant, and public. All transactions on THORChain are transparent, there is no obfuscation. When Monero starts trading, XMR swaps will have all the same public data as BTC and ETH swaps.
It remains the closest example of a decentralized BTC-to-ETH exchange described by Vitalik.
We believe THORChain is one of the most decentralized blockchains in crypto.
According to a Raynalytics dashboard, the network has 111 active nodes operated by 56 unique node operators. 20 operators control just over two-thirds of the active nodes.
There is no single developer or entity in control of THORChain.
Core developers can make recommendations and write code to update the protocol, but nodes ultimately decide whether to adopt those changes. Protocol upgrades depend on sufficient support from the validator set, meaning developers cannot unilaterally impose changes on the network.
The decentralization and product market fit of THORChain make it a core piece of DeFi.

🇪🇺🇵🇱 The EU has reiterated that Poland's parliament must have the right to appoint new judges to the country's Constitutional Tribunal, supporting the decision of PM Tusk.
It was clear, of course, that the EU would support Tusk’s coup d’état, just as it had previously supported the annulment of elections in Romania or the political persecution of Le Pen in France.
These people do not care about "democracy."

🇷🇸🇭🇺 Viktor Orbán and Aleksandar Vučić have both LOST power. Now they're plotting their political comebacks.
The two longtime allies met in Belgrade after suffering major election defeats in Hungary and Serbia.
And Vučić doesn't sound particularly interested in retirement.
“Yes, we both recently lost elections, but we have not lost our dignity, our pride and our faith.”
He's already talking about returning to power within TWO YEARS, possibly sooner, while rebuilding his party and bringing together a broader opposition.
Orbán, meanwhile, is facing life outside government after years dominating Hungarian politics.

Apparently, neither intends to stay there for long.

He said he never thought Donald Tusk would sink this low and stage a coup d’état against his own people. Orban is publicly backing President Nawrocki and hoping he can restore constitutional order.
What happened at the Constitutional Tribunal crossed a line most European leaders are still refusing to name.

What we witnessed yesterday in Warsaw was a blatant violation of Poland’s constitution. I never thought @donaldtusk would sink to such depths as to stage a coup d’état against his own people. A virtigli globalista Donald Tusk–Radosław Sikorski páros által vezetett Lengyelországban a polgárháború küszöbére érkeztek, miután puccsszerűen elfoglalták az Alkotmánybíróságot.
Lengyelországban azonban jobb a helyzet, mint Magyarországon, ott ugyanis van egy, a kormánytól független köztársasági elnök, egy szuverenista hazafi, Karol Nawrocki, aki afrikai útját megszakítva azonnal Varsóba sietett, és a kormánypárti puccsista bírókon áttörve bement az elfoglalt Alkotmánybíróságra. Éppen most igyekszik helyreállítani az alkotmányos rendet.
Ezért létfontosságú, hogy Magyarországon is legyen közvetlen köztársaságielnök-választás, mint Lengyelországban, mert így a fékek és ellensúlyok rendszerét nem lehet könnyen felszámolni, mint ahogy azt nálunk is tették és teszik jelenleg is.
