I wasn't naive to the rumors. We all knew, but we were careful of how we spoke and our online image.
As I told my coworkers who were afraid to speak up, it's not the first time I've been blacklisted for standing up for my team in this industry. 😂

I am still very proud of what I created and hope everyone enjoys the episodes I worked on. I tried to always bring positivity during times of complete darkness and stand up for others even when I knew I would suffer for it.

There were many excuses but those of us close to the information know the truth.
The union was later made in what I hope was to help others where I could not be helped. I did attempt to pursue a lawyer but unfortunately complications between countries is an issue.

They couldn't believe it and confirmed with my supervisor that yes we were overworked and underpaid and no I wasn't slow. They did raise the wages but unfortunately they slowly fired me by reducing assignments until they were nothing.

After getting positive feedback for the striker episode and the studio wanting to restructure wages I reached out to the higher ups to show them my logs of every second I spent in Toonboom. It tracks every click I make.

Throughout my time on HB I worked around 80 hours a week with one day off every month. The average income was around $15/hr. This heavily affected my health as I needed to rest to recover but I couldn't afford to pay my bills or escape from the ex-husband.

As I was paid only for the finished product, any technical issues on my side were eaten up in costs on my end. I was also very sick during this episode. It was sadly cursed but I was motivated to not let myself down.

I was paid around $10/hr for that episode of Striker. One of the biggest issues was due to a hidden software update that was erasing my work every hour and I had to redo everything for the first month or so until I found the issue.
