Nicely written, Shrey (@shrey_twr )! So true!
This semester I am TAing 17-313, the undergrad software engineering course at CMU.
I built an autograder for the course... with AI writing every line of the code. It got me thinking about what's left of software engineering now that coding is automated away.
I jotted down my thoughts here: thelastsoftwareengineer.subsβ¦

Ask it to give you a good cake recipe instead :-)
Seriously though, I don't know about others but I find this a bit unnerving. When I write emails, I generally assume there's a human on the other end. But not sure how to feel knowing for sure I'm conversing with a bot via email... @tianyin_xu @krismicinski

This is awesome! But you may not want to post all your great start-up ideas here :-P
Really excited to talk about Bugeoisie at ISSTA'26 this Friday (10/9), 2:25pm PT, in Junior Ballroom 1/2!
This time Darko drew the short straw so he'll be presenting π
but we'll be in the room to support him! #issta26 #issta #sigsoft @issta_conf

Great, now I have a new anxiety unlocked. Will I be scooped by a swarm of invisible agents...? Or just the ones that I know of...? Sigh...

7/ We also believe that, as a community, we should make good reporting easier and give authors more reasons to do it. More carrots, fewer sticks.
6/ One key recommendation is that authors report the full range of outcomes, including rejected reports, and clearly distinguish found, reported, confirmed, pending, and fixed. We also argue that this evidence deserves more attention in peer review, much like other research artifacts.
