Pre-print from the lab! Here, we explore the temporally-specific recruitment of amygdala to accumbens projections and dopamine D2 receptor-expressing accumbal neurons in punished risk taking. Some of our results may surprise you. biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…
I am so lucky to have such a thoughtful lab. A colorful and delicious birthday surprise awaited me at work today.

Calling all patch clampers! Do you have a trainee who's looking for a job? My lab is looking for an experienced patch clamper to join us in studying how opioids and cocaine affect striatal circuits. DM if interested. Official post coming soon. Please RT.
Science friends! @neurodobbs and I are expressing ChR2 and hM4Di (both under CAMKIIa promoters) in the rat BLA and consistently see unhealthy cells in our slice prep. Has anyone had cell health issues with ChR2 (titer~1.7X10^12 & above) alone or when combined with another virus?

Hey Pavlovians — Let’s all give an especially big shout out to Dr. Jeff Wilson. Not only has he kept the Pavlovian Society thriving for twenty years, he is an artisan. Each year he crafts the old mold handed down from Horsley Gantt into a virtual piece of art. Who knew? We do!!
