It was an honour to lay a wreath this year again at Uddingston War Memorial on behalf of the Council. This year, I wore both a Poppy Scotland red poppy with the Black Watch regimental badge, and a Peace Pledge Union white poppy.

Getting a bit sick of the anti-bilingual signage brigade. "Gaelic was never Scotland-wide" misses the point. It was spoken much wider than just the highlands and islands, like people assume. Regardless, it's an official language for all of Scotland today.
