Right after it answers, Claude grades the chat for misuse.
They call it self-assessment. Running since June.
So every prompt you send gets a second opinion from the model. About you.
Security people are already leaving.

We’ve trained Claude to flag potential misuse in conversations, a technique we call self-assessment. Right after it responds, Claude gives a preliminary safety assessment of the conversation.
Since we began using self-assessment in June, it has surfaced misuse that our other safeguards weren’t designed to catch.
Because Claude has already read the conversation, self-assessment is very efficient. And unlike classifiers, which target a discrete set of harms, it draws on Claude’s own judgment, so it gets more accurate as our models improve.

The way the internet ran on for 25 years is you let Google read your site, and Google sends you visitors/traffic. That deal is over now and it’s all because of AI.
Google now reads Reddit, writes the answer itself and the user never leaves the search page.
Reddit does the work and Google keeps the reader…and that’s how money is being made.
For $RDDT, its biggest front door is closing which is why the stock is down -25% this morning. Huffman's plan is that people will just come to Reddit directly. Maybe. But US user growth is already down to 6%, and "we'll change everyone's habits" is a hope that’s never gonna come.
For Google, the issue is the same. The damage is slower but it goes deeper. Its AI is only as smart as the open web it learns from. Stop sending sites traffic, and they'll lock their content up, sell it to rival labs or block Google outright. Google is eating the thing it feeds on.
AI killed the click and both of these companies were built on it. It's a fight over who survives the next version of the internet… $GOOGL looks interesting if they cannot win the search

Moore's Law Is Dead published an interview with an anonymous Micro Center manager. According to the employee, organized groups are buying NVIDIA Blackwell graphics cards in bulk. They initially targeted GeForce RTX 5090, RTX 5080 and RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell cards priced at $16,000, but now also buy RTX 5070 Ti, RTX 5070 and 16 GB RTX 5060 Ti models.
The buyers arrive in groups of five to eight, enter stores 15–20 minutes apart and pay in cash. The manager claims that cash turnover at a single store reaches $500,000 per week, requiring armored cash collections several times.
Sales limits have not stopped the purchases. Groups visit up to five branches within a 300-mile radius to bypass restrictions. This reduces graphics card availability for ordinary customers. The account is based on anonymous testimony.

NOW CONFIRMED: Riot police surrounded Poland's Constitutional Tribunal and went onto the grounds. President Nawrocki turned his plane around.
The court's own website briefly announced that its president and vice president had been suspended and replaced by a judge aligned with Tusk's majority. The tribunal's leadership is calling it a coup attempt.
Tusk says he's restoring the rule of law.
Funny how restoring the rule of law looks a lot like riot police at the courthouse door.
