Do Albertans know the full price tag? Millions have already been committed to a provincial police service, but key questions remain about transition, staffing, infrastructure, and long-term costs. Learn more at keepalbertarcmp.ca.

It's Oct 2024. A media outlet asks AHS what contract it has with MHCare. Two officials draft this answer. AHS, "based on a review of payments and contract repository, confirms it does not have any contractual relationship with MHCare Medical or Mr. mraiche personally." WHAT'S THAT NOW? The government's own investigator? Retired judge Raymond Wyant. "This statement was not true." Dec 23, 2024? Alberta Health tells AHS? "cease any due diligence underway" On private surgery centres. Two months. Two sentences. One report. Due Diligence, Part 3

First, define 'intimate'. Then tell us if 'nonconsensual images being shared without consent whether the images are real or fake' could in theory include a real picture of you shaking hands with Trump. This stinks of cover for potential rights restrictions to protect yourself.

If going after AISH recipients wasn't enough, the UCP intends to prohibit diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) hiring practices in public institutions, under new legislation unveiled Tuesday. The UCP are now going to make it even more difficult for people with disabilities to get employed as well as to afford the increasing cost of living. edmontonjournal.com/news/alb…

So uh let me get this straight.. On July 7th @Rogers guts Calgary's only News & Traffic station since 2006, along with 6 other stations across Canada.. The day before (July 6th) rogers blows $4.35B to become majority owner of the <drumroll> MLSE.. But now @rogers is forcing people to pay $12.99/month if they don't have a Sportsnet package, just to watch LOCAL games on TV.. Weren't they just boasting about 'lifting 150 NHL Blackout games' last month?

On question 8 of Alberta’s referendum 58% of respondents voted that they do not want Canadian provincial governments to amend the constitution to opt out of federal programs ie healthcare, education and social services. UCP has previously announced that they intended to leave the federal Canadian dental program by 2026. The UCP also rejected participation in Canada’s national pharmacare program. Danielle Smith is already taking the liberty to interpret what individuals intended when they placed their referendum votes and is planning to pass a law requiring proof of citizenship at Alberta’s next provincial election. Albertans now need to demand that Danielle Smith @ABDanielleSmith pass a law that Albertans can access all federal programs in healthcare, education, and social services. Qualifying Albertans should be able to access the federal dental program as well as the national pharmacare program.

Alberta teachers raise classroom concerns as province funds independent school expansions. Medeana Moussa, executive director of Support Our Students Alberta: “When the government is prioritizing these private businesses over public schools that are there for the public good and to serve each and every student, I think the government is not prioritizing Albertans in an equitable and fair way.” ctvnews.ca/calgary/article/a…

"Corrupt Care" was front and centre today! And when an NDP MLA asked about money laundering, Speaker Ric McIver (who became speaker well after the scandal had unfolded publicly), angrily demanded an apology! #abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli

This WAS NOT happening at the University of Alberta. If anything, it is laughable how little EDI was being considered at the school despite the university’s claims to care about it in the past. You can read our analysis here: edmontonjournal.com/opinion/…
The best person for the job should get the job. Period. Today we tabled legislation that would ensure hiring and promotion decisions in the public sector are based on merit, not DEI policies. Mandatory workplace training will be relevant to the roles and responsibilities of the employee, instead of mandatory DEI sessions. Every Albertan deserves a fair shot, and fairness means everyone competes on the same terms.

The Trump DOJ tried to weaponize the justice system to punish Cassidy Hutchinson for exposing the truth about January 6—and they just failed spectacularly. A federal grand jury of ordinary citizens just threw out the DOJ’s retaliatory indictment. The "no true bill" is a massive victory for the rule of law and a humiliating defeat for an administration trying to criminalize truth-telling. Let’s not forget what Hutchinson exposed under oath: • Trump knew the crowd was armed with firearms and knives, yet demanded security metal detectors be removed because "they’re not here to hurt me." • Trump desperately tried to force his way to the Capitol to join the mob, throwing a tantrum in the presidential SUV when his own Secret Service stopped him. • Trump and Mark Meadows sat back and did absolutely nothing while the Capitol was violently overrun. A jury of peers stood up, acted as the constitutional shield of checks and balances they are supposed to be, and proved that the truth cannot be indicted. An absolute embarrassment for the DOJ and a massive win for American democracy. 🏛️⚖️

It feels as though Danielle might have had some replies in between these bubbles, and perhaps he did as well. If he had deleted any comments, either his own or hers- her end would be unaltered. She could fill in the blanks by posting her own side of the conversation, but…
