Mikel Arteta might actually be the maddest football manager on the planet. 😂
This story from @SamJDean's recent book is absolutely incredible..
He once convinced his Arsenal players he could read their minds before a North London derby. 🧠
Ahead of their clash with Tottenham in 2022, he asked the whole squad to hide a small object inside one player’s shoe without telling him who had it.
Arteta went outside the room with his coaching staff and waited for the player's to choose.
Arteta then came in, studied their faces, stared into their eyes and even checked their pulses before correctly picking Gabriel as the culprit. The players were stunned. 😳
After Arsenal’s 3-1 win, he revealed his secret: he’d watched the whole thing on the hotel’s CCTV. 😭

This Nyoni challenge on Odegaard is a red card right??
But yeah "the game is still early"

Christian Pulisic is the USMNT’s most complete player and should still be a focal point of Mauricio Pochettino’s team.
Thinking otherwise shows a clear lapse in judgment and/or bias.
I await your replies with bated breath.

🚨 BREAKING: MAX DOWMAN ISSUES PUBLIC APOLOGY TO ARSENAL FANS 💔
🗣️ Max Dowman:
“I want to sincerely apologise to my teammates, the manager, and every Arsenal fan around the world for what happened today.
Getting sent off against Fleetwood Town was never my intention. I let my emotions get the better of me, and I take full responsibility for my actions.
I know what this club means to millions of people, and I understand the disappointment I've caused.
I'm still young, and I have a lot to learn.
I promise to use this experience as motivation to become a better player and a better person.
I'm sorry, Gooners. I will repay your trust on the pitch. ❤️🤍
