He may very well be the deciding vote on legislation that makes everyone's lives better. We can either have him win and pressure the crap out of him to not be anti-trans, or help his opponent get elected who voted against the Equality Act and for the Defense of marriage Act.

I DO think CDPR is giving it an honest effort, and I want them to stick with it. I'm thrilled with how they've turned the game around. But we should still be keeping an eye on them for the time being.
