If we had been given a 'Yoruba Nation', these supremacy obsessed tribalists would have said we MUST be under them cuz they own 'YORUBA'.

As we come together in Unity for every celebration of the Yoruba race, we must come together to start a new dawn in Oyo’s continued history. Oyo like the cat with 9 lives is rebirthed for the greatness of Yoruba race. A new chapter of a people whose resilience is a testament of the great Yoruba race.
Oyo Empire day celebration, is not a celebration of oppression, it is a rebirth of the golden age of Oyo with rebirth of economic boost, military strength at the Yoruba Northern border, academic development, resuscitaion of arts and culture and most importantly immortalization of our ancestors. The old empire is no more but our ancestors history is one worthy of telling the world that we are no cowards. Estimated 60,000 people is expected to besiege Oyo town and its environ to answer the call of Alaafin Ọwọade.
