Sir Patrick Stewart gave generations two unforgettable guides: Captain Jean-Luc Picard and Professor Charles Xavier. Both believed in understanding others, even when the world made that difficult. He was 86. zurl.co/nBfFg

Niles: … then I stormed out and slammed the door. Of course, it was that 14th century Bavarian cathedral door, so I had to get two of the servants to help me slam it. But what it lacked in spontaneity it made up for in resonance!

Frasier: When you look at me, um, do you see me as a young man, or as an older man? Daphne: Oh, no. No, you don't. You're not getting me into that Vietnam.

John Lennon and Keith Richards side by side at The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus in December 1968, filmed on a big top set at Intertel Studios in Wembley, London, over the night of December 11 into the 12th. Mick Jagger dreamed up the circus to promote Beggars Banquet, with Jethro Tull, The Who, Taj Mahal, Marianne Faithfull and the Stones on the bill. Lennon came with Yoko Ono and a one-night band called The Dirty Mac, and Keith swapped his guitar for a bass to join Eric Clapton and Mitch Mitchell behind him. It was the first time since the Beatles formed that John had performed in public without them. Filming dragged on so long that the Stones finally took the stage at almost 5 o'clock the next morning, exhausted. It turned out to be Brian Jones' last appearance with the band, and the Stones shelved the whole special for nearly three decades before it finally came out in October 1996. Lennon was killed in New York on December 8, 1980, twelve years after the circus. Keith is still out there with the Stones. πŸ‘… The Rock and Roll Circus sat in the vault for almost 28 years before anyone outside the studio got to see it. Have you watched the full film? πŸ‘…

We had a lot of freaking fun figuring out four #brandnew covers at rehearsal on Sunday afternoon. They gelled quickly; real classic bangers and grooves on the way for the last leg of 2026! πŸŽΆπŸŽ€πŸŽΈπŸŽ›πŸ₯ #BarCodeNewEra #brantford #brantcounty #halton #hamilton #hamont #staytuned

Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1 came out in the US 38 years ago today, on October 18, 1988. It started with a B-side. George Harrison needed one for a single, and over dinner, Jeff Lynne and Roy Orbison offered to help. Bob Dylan had a studio in his garage in Malibu, and on his way over, George stopped at Tom Petty's house to get a guitar he'd left there and invited Tom along. They cut "Handle with Care" the next day, and it was too good to be a B-side, so the five of them got together again in May and recorded the rest of the album in nine days. It reached No. 3 in America and won a Grammy. Roy died in December, less than two months after it came out. 🎸 Favorite Wilbury: George, Jeff, Bob, Roy or Tom? 🎸 πŸ‘‡οΈ
