I'll level with you. I'm happy that the Canes got it done, but this was not a great effort. The top line all finished with multiple points, and Bussi is back in the win column. Otherwise, not a lot to the good, despite the result. Canes win 5-3 on the Island #CarolinaCulture

Pretty good time for Carrier to get his first of the season. Parks in front of the net and knocks home a rebound. 4-3 Canes #CarolinaCulture

It has not been a very Hurricanes-like game tonight. They conceded three in the period while scoring just once. Need to find something within themselves to get this one done. 3-3 after 40 #CarolinaCulture

Schaefer's shot is tipped home by Chaffee, and Bussi is adamant it's a high-stick. For now, 2-1 Canes #CarolinaCulture

The Canes scored 2 early goals. Otherwise, I really didn't like their first period. Too many good chances for the Islanders. Fortunately, Bussi was on his game to start. Need to be better in the second. 2-0 Canes after 20 #CarolinaCulture
