DEVELOPING: Police have uncovered another suspected clandestine drug laboratory at Ramokokastad, near Sun City in North West. Operation led to seizure of 20 bags of suspected drug material, weighing approximately 40kg each, along with large quantities of chemicals, gas cylinders, generators, cooking equipment, water tanks and other materials allegedly used in drug manufacturing. Preliminary observations suggest the premises may have been used to manufacture Mandrax and crystal methamphetamine. Four suspects, aged between 19 and 71, were arrested. A fifth suspect reportedly fled and is being sought. The suspects are expected to appear in the Mogwase Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 26 October, facing charges of manufacturing and dealing in illicit drugs. Breakthrough by the Hawks and other specialised police teams. Story developing @eNCA

😂😂😂our DP🤔. He actually used “adequate” and “water” in one sentence when residents are up in arms and others are hospitalised due to both inadequacy and water borne diseases.
The ANC continues to provide adequate services such as housing and water. We shall continue to fulfill that commitment. 📍 Atteridgeville #VoteANC2026 #VoteANC #LGE2026 #LetsBuildBetterCommunities

I'm getting really tired very quickly of these politicians and their games of toying with people's lives. For three weeks, untreated water was pumped into residential areas in Tshwane. THREE WEEKS. They knew they were out of chlorine, and their resolve was to: Just send it. The utter disregard for public safety is sickening. I don't think people fully appreciate just how outrageous this is, because if they did, there'd be France in Tshwane. We are talking about one of the most basic responsibilities of government: providing people with clean, safe drinking water. Not some luxury service. Not some ambitious infrastructure project. WATER. People pay their rates and taxes, trusting that the water coming out of their taps is safe for their families to drink, cook with and bathe in. And somehow, in 2026, we have reached a point where even that trust is misplaced? What ABSOLUTELY infuriates me is how we've become so accustomed to government FAILURE that something this serious risks becoming just another headline for them to mudsling at each other. This is not normal. It is not acceptable. And it should NEVER be treated as just another service delivery problem. When a government cannot even guarantee that the water entering people's homes is safe, we have moved well beyond incompetence. We are talking about a fundamental failure of its duty to protect the people it serves. What exactly are South Africans paying for anymore?

The problem isnt that the water is unsafe. It that they tried to hide it and didnt warn residents. That goes beyond simple negligence.
