Jimin asks fans to stop pushing and reminds them to enjoy the concert safely! 🥹 🐥: Oh, everyone, this is lovely! 🐥: I’ve really missed seeing you all, but if you keep pushing forward, the people on the first floor might get hurt. 🐥: Oh, oh, it’s too dangerous if you do that, so please don’t push too much. 🐥: I think it would be nice if we could just enjoy the concert together and have fun. 🐥: You can do that, right? 🐥: Thank you. I’d really appreciate it if you could enjoy the concert safely and have fun!

jm has done absolutely nothing wrong by expressing concern for the crowd’s safety. he shouldn’t even have to remind people to be considerate of others at a concert, yet some of you have turned his genuine concern into a reason to mock and insult him. you can explain pogo culture without belittling him or acting as if he’s wrong for wanting people to stay safe. he deserves the same respect you expect him to show your culture. and someone throwing something at him on top of this is absolutely unacceptable. cultural differences are not a justification for disrespect, and being a fan does not give you a free pass to treat an artist this way. the way some of you are treating jm for simply looking out for others is absolutely disgusting.

Not to mention that if something were to happen the artist would be held liable in the court of public opinion at the very least Even if not legally, the press and antis would have a field day crucifying the group. The bigger the artist the bigger the backlash would be if a tragedy were to happen With that and the tragedy that did actually happen in Itaewon in mind it makes perfect sense to be concerned for the fans who came to see you

For those who don't know, Itaewon Halloween tragedy happened on October 29th, 2022. It was deadliest crowd crush in South Korean history with 159 deaths and 196 injuries and the second & Korea's deadliest disaster and mass-casualty, only behind the Sewol ferry tragedy in 2014. The event shook the entire South Korean nation. All domestic events were canceled for weeks in honor of those who lost their lives and even now many families are still reeling over the devastating aftermath effects. With the tragedy's anniversary fast approaching, BTS has a right to be concerned. No one said not to respect your culture. But BTS are KOREAN artists at their roots and you're at THEIR CONCERT. Respect for one's culture has to go both ways. They speak up because they care for your safety & well-beings. Furthermore, if something happens, the Korean media will not care it's part of your concert culture. They will all the blame on BTS & crucify them. Please put yourself in their perspectives and try to understand where they are coming from. Sharing your culture with BTS is one thing, but they should not have to brush over theirs to cater to yours. Safety should always be the first priority and respect for one's culture should go both ways.

I respect that pogo and mosh pits are part of Argentina’s musical culture, and I agree that understanding local concert traditions is important. But I think we need to distinguish between respecting a cultural practice and dismissing legitimate safety concerns. BTS weren’t necessarily asking people to stop jumping or enjoying the concert. They were asking the floor crowd to stop pushing forward. A fan at barricade who regularly attends concerts around the world described the pushing tonight as “brutal” and reported that quite a few ARMYs were taken out to see medics. Knowing the codes of a mosh pit doesn’t guarantee that crowd conditions will always remain safe. There is a difference between consensual movement within a crowd and pressure that makes it difficult for people to move freely. We should also remember that BTS are from a place where a crowd crush killed 159 people and had a profound impact on public awareness of crowd safety. Since then, the risks of dangerous crowding have remained an especially significant concern at large gatherings. It’s understandable that crowd surges and pressure might be taken seriously by Korean artists and their teams, including when performing internationally. We cannot know exactly what was going through the members’ minds, but their concern should not be dismissed simply because a particular crowd practice is customary elsewhere. We should also recognize that BTS may be unfamiliar with some local concert traditions. That’s precisely why promoters and event organizers have a responsibility to prepare international artists for local audience practices, explain relevant cultural differences, and ensure appropriate safety measures are in place. Artists shouldn’t have to figure out unfamiliar crowd dynamics on their own while they’re performing. We can respect Argentina’s musical traditions without assuming every instance of crowd behaviour is safe just because it’s customary. Cultural understanding should go both ways: international fans can learn about local traditions, while local fans and organizers can recognize that a request to stop pushing forward is a safety concern, not an attack on cultural identity. The goal should be for everyone to enjoy the concert and go home safely, including the fans and the artists onstage. 💜
