But competition is about striving to be better, stronger, faster. It's about pushing yourself & striving to succeed.

This is vital viewing. It’s the first ever such conversation on linear TV - three therapists from the three main therapeutic bodies in the UK exposing total institutional capture by gender identity belief. It’s new broadcast journalism.

@Glinner fresh from his court case and are trans activists using the police to enforce their ideology and will his case bring a stop to it?
Vitally important with the announcement of the puberty blocker trial, we have three brave therapists from the three main therapeutic bodies exposing multiple institutional capture to trans ideology and the danger that may mean for children.

I see this argument made quite often and it was actually one of the points made by the UK government under the Conservatives in favour of defining HS2 as “England and Wales”.
It is correct to say that if HS2 goes all the way to Crewe, it will make it slightly quicker for people in North Wales to get to London.
There are a lot of points I could make but for me the most important is that the idea that the only way for Wales to be prosperous is be able to leave it more quickly and go to London is so retrograde.
Infrastructure in Wales desperately needs investment. At the very least we should get what everyone can see we are owed.
£4bn is a hell of a lot of money to get people from north Wales to London faster. We could transform the Welsh network with this.

2019: Theresa May, "After Brexit our environmental standards will not fall"
2024: Oxford rower Leonard Jenkins, "A few guys got e.coli.. I was throwing up this morning.. It would have been ideal not to have so much poo in the water"
World famous #TheBoatRace2024 @theboatrace between Oxford and Cambridge affected by raw sewage dumped into the River Thames after the Conservative party promised our environmental standards would not fall after Brexit. Yet it has been the Conservative party who have repeatedly voted to allow water companies to continue to dump raw sewage in our rivers and seas - shame on them, and on anyone who continues to vote for them

'Michelle Mone would rather you did not see this £75mn restraint order'
She's definitely annoyed the @ft.
They've just uploaded the Court's Order to freeze their assets....dates, times, names inc those of her children and Arthur Lancaster, a key player in Barrowman's Loan Charge Scandal Companies, and of course offshore trusts and tax avoidance aplenty.
Oh dear.....

Apparently I was the choice of voters on @bbclaurak to be PM.
That's flattering, thank you very kindly, but I'd rather wire my nipples to electrodes.
Our system is overly adversarial - mandating politicians to lie and sell policies they disagree with in order to hold the party line. It is structured with an official "opposition" designed to oppose for the sake of it.
Few can thrive in that environment. I believe in public service, but my mental health isn't robust enough. I wouldn't subject my family to it - would you?
Ps I admire politicians of all sides who try. Most I meet are actually trying to do good. But in the end to do that you have to play the system and be incredibly mentally robust.

As the issue of compensation for miscarriages of justice is rightly in the news, it’s timely to note that in 2014, the government changed the law to make it all but impossible for people wrongly convicted and imprisoned to claim compensation.
