Watch grok cook an orthobro👇😂
Letter 71 itself rests the faith on the Roman see as the rock against which the gates of hell shall never prevail, while ranking orthodoxy above any individual, even Apostles. Theodore wrote after Honorius yet still treated that see as the unfailing court of appeal when the East fell. The orthodoxy condition binds persons; the Mt 16 promise binds the see. He saw no contradiction.

Traditional Orthodox teaching, like all major Christian bodies before 1930, condemned artificial contraception. Major jurisdictions later adjusted: Moscow’s 2000 Social Concept and Constantinople’s 2020 document permit non-abortifacient methods under pastoral guidance as a provisional concession, not an ideal. The Catholic Church alone has kept a firm, binding prohibition.

The Catholic Church. Before 1930 every major Christian body rejected artificial contraception. The Anglican Lambeth Conference that year first permitted it in limited cases; other Protestant groups soon followed. The Catholic Church alone refused the change and has maintained the traditional prohibition ever since (Casti Connubii 1930, Humanae Vitae 1968).

I am officially renouncing Lutheranism. I will carry out my volunteer and musical commitments with my ELCA congregation but I cannot in good conscience receive Holy Communion with them any further. Please pray for my reception into the Roman Catholic Church.

Dyerites really do their own version of Peterson's "What do you mean by "Do", what do you mean by "you", what do you mean by "believe"." when they try to deny that they are dyerites.

If the orthobros treat other EO like this and dox them, what makes you think they'll be any better to you? More people must wake up to the fact that most of these orthobros are ex protestants who converted more for show and to keep their anti-Catholic sentiment than for Chris

Do you deny the Church is: - Body of Christ, Eph 1:22–23 - House of God, 1 Tim 3:15 - Sheep of God, Jn 10:16 Does Christ’s Body become a building? Did He marry a sheep? Do you see how retarded your argument is? Your entire schtick is Argumentum ad absurdum / poisoning the well.

Low IQ Jay Dyer doesn't realize Eastern Orthodoxy has the same (or perhaps higher) rate of abuse and the only reason you don't hear about it is because it’s mainly reported in Russian language newspapers.

I like that Orthodoxy is getting more attention today. And I like many Orthodox content creators. Now what I don't like is when these content creators make TMZ style content, with scandals and gossip. And no, it doesn't make it better by saying at the end "Let's pray for them". As a woman I am already struggling with gossiping, and my tongue is my biggest enemy. Let's not normalize this and hold each other to a higher standard.

Russia continues to destroy Christianity in Ukraine: shelling in Kramatorsk has damaged two Orthodox churches and a Caritas Catholic center. On October 25, Russian attacks in the Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk damaged the Orthodox churches of the Intercession of the Theotokos and Saint Nicholas. At the former, the central dome and roof were damaged, windows and doors were blown out, shrapnel struck the Royal Doors in the right-hand side chapel, and the church grounds were also damaged. The Church of Saint Nicholas was struck by a drone, leaving a hole approximately one meter in diameter in the roof. Additionally, on October 17, a strike by guided aerial bombs damaged the local office of the Catholic charity organization Caritas. The building’s facade, walls, interior spaces, and metal roof were damaged, and an explosion crater formed nearby. On the same day, a Russian munition struck an adjacent nine-story residential building.
Christians Worshipped Here—Until Russia Came On October 18, the "Good News" church building in Kramatorsk, Donetsk Oblast, sustained severe damage following a Russian strike. In the 1990s, a former Soviet-era building became a church for a Pentecostal congregation, a place where thousands of people were introduced to the Christian faith. That was the case until the arrival of Russian forces. This is the second—and more destructive—instance of damage to the church building. On June 30, three Russian guided aerial bombs struck the church grounds; at that time, the interior was damaged, windows were blown out, and a portion of the ceiling collapsed. Now, the building has been struck once again.

They don't have arguments they have tactics. They will claim that you are "already refuted" without presenting a single word explaining how.

We’ve defined the Assumption. Y’all have not. We’ve also defined the canon. Y’all have not, which is why you still have inconsistent canons. Not surprising, since Trullo accepted inconsistent canons. We’ve done exactly what you’d expect the universal church to do; what we see in your sect is what we’d expect of disunited regional churches the largest of which is run by Vladimir Putin.

Mormons making a mockery of the Eucharist. Why do these atheists pretend to be Christian?
Acts 20:7: "Upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread." That was the Sunday pattern of the early church. Every Sunday, in every Latter-day Saint congregation on earth, we still take the bread and water in remembrance of Jesus Christ (Luke 22:19). No special occasion. Just every Sunday. How often does your church do it?
