We have: (1) created a network of community-based orgs, (2) conducted a study of health & participation for people aging with disability, (3) adapted and (4) tested an intervention to promote participation, and (5) pilot-tested a fall-prevention intervention for this population.

In every year of our 3-year study of people aging w/ long-term physical disability, more than half of participants reported falling. Further research is needed for community organizations to deliver effective and evidence-based fall prevention programs for this population.
