Hi all. Very quiet on this account these days. Mostly I can now be found on here under @archaeo_ali tweeting about archaeology.

I can’t let a situation not under my control define my happiness. Need to shake this feeling off PDQ! But how to stop that niggle?

And now you can’t get out of your head that “what if the situation was different” and now you are sad, and you wish no-one had said anything at all and left you in your happy place? This is me tonight. Ergh!!!! 2/2

Guys, I need to vent. Have you ever had a situation that wasn’t bothering you at, you were quite happy with, and then everyone kept going on and on about that fact the situation should change and how much better off you would be if the situation was different… 1/2

Last year I also cycled 116 miles (187 km) from St Malo in northern Brittany (France) to Carnac in southern Brittany in 2 days. Possibly the most out of my comfort zone thing I have ever attempted!

…. This year I really want to push myself out of my comfort zone. I have trips to France, Argentina and Mexico planned in the first half of this year. I’m anxious, I like to dream up all the things that could go wrong but I am determined to do this!

Ergh! What a day. I have decided that arrogance is definitely one of the worst personality traits out there. Complete believe that you are more right than anyone else could possibly be and your opinion is more valid #arrogance

This morning I experienced my first Macha Latte. I wouldn’t say I am an immediate convert but I’d do it again… #machalatte

We’re deeply disappointed by today’s decision. The pandemic’s aftershocks and a once-in-a-lifetime cost of living crisis are taking a harmful toll on young people’s mental health. Now’s the time to protect and extend their right to explore the outdoors, not limit it further. 1/
We're disappointed with the result of the wild camping legal challenge. We'll consider our position before deciding if to appeal and also discuss with landowners. We maintain wild camping is key part of open-air recreation, a way to enjoy Dartmoor. bit.ly/2CSDHcP

This evening the kids helped cook veggie fajitas (quorn, cucumber, peppers, salsa) and burritos (refried bean, sweetcorn, rice). Hoping getting then involved will mean they are less suspicious of what they're eating when we travel #MexicoHereWeCome #MexicoWithKids

Holiday to Mexico booked. So excited! #MexicoHereWeCome

So currently looking at Riviera Maya, Mexico. Anyone been with 2 older kids? We’re looking at getting a villa and rental car rather than all inclusive #Travelwithkids #mexicowithkids #riveriamaya
