Some of my best tweets are cut short by "don't you dare fucking tweet that" #truelove – at Foothills No. 31, Alberta
I think this is the *critical* point that many folks gloss over - when it comes to housing "affordability", we are FULLY cooked already. Homeowners *can't* demand cheaper housing without obliterating the book value of the houses they are IN.
I know this is going to be immensely unpopular post, but it needs to be said.
If they lowered housing prices by 30%, it’s going to cost a LOT of people their homes. Anyone who bought in the last decade and doesn’t have over 30% equity won’t get a mortgage renewal.

Yesterday I bought a cup of coffee for $3
I now have a $3 trade deficit with the coffee shop so I am imposing a 50% trade tariff on them.
Today my coffee cost me $4.50

See: every single province that temporarily cut the gas tax, in which O&G corps hiked prices back up over the gap almost immediately.

I love how we’ve been expecting an election for MONTHS now….yet the NDP and Liberals are just bypassing nomination meetings to appoint their favs.
Fuck democracy. Am I right?

From an operational security perspective, this is the highest level of fuckup imaginable. These people cannot keep America safe.
American war planning usually takes place in highly secure facilities. But the Trump administration planned its strikes on the Houthis using a group chat—and accidentally included The Atlantic’s editor in chief, @JeffreyGoldberg. theatlantic.com/politics/arc…
"Fading away"? The literal text IN THE IMAGE states that the Liberal share has grown since the last Abacus poll earlier in the month. Sure it's not reflecting the higher %s shown by other pollsters - the last Abacus one didn't either - which more likely indicates polling biases

A Canadian Premier, @ABDanielleSmith, openly admitting to soliciting a foreign government to meddle in our election to benefit Poilievre is absolutely unacceptable. This is more than enough reason for her to resign immediately—she is clearly unfit for office.

Poilievre is just like Trump. That's what she said.
Canadians hate Trump.
Ouch.
"I would say, on balance, the perspective that Pierre would bring would be very much in sync with, I think…the new direction in America." - Alberta Premier Danielle Smith

Liar.
You voted against the Canada/Ukraine free trade agreement & you voted against military aid to Ukraine on multiple occasions.
You only "stand with Ukraine" when it serves your political purposes...and now seems to be a convenient time for you. #cdnpoli
As Leader of Canada’s common sense Conservatives, I have always been clear, we stand with Ukraine in its defence against Vladimir Putin’s illegal invasion.
I also firmly believe that the future of Ukraine must be determined by the Ukrainian people.
Conservatives will always stand on the side of freedom and democracy.
The state of Maine is defying Trump's orders invalidating trans people - and Trump of course is throwing a fit and threatening to withhold federal funding from them.
With all this talk of Canada becoming the 51st state, Trudeau now has the opportunity to do the FUNNIEST thing...
Same energy...

I have read various media stories containing allegations regarding the procurement and contracting processes of AHS. They are troubling allegations and they should be reviewed as quickly as possible.
To that end, I will be writing Auditor General Doug Wylie to ask for an expedited review and his findings on this issue. I have also directed my officials to ensure that any request for information from Mr. Wylie or his office is dealt with on a fully transparent and expedited basis. We need to get to the bottom of this issue quickly to identify any potential wrongdoing, correct it, and address it appropriately.
I have also asked that AHS’s internal review be completed as quickly as possible and delivered directly to me so we can study the results and make improvements or adjustments to these processes. Until these findings are delivered, AHS has paused the contracting for the surgical facilities under review.
As Premier, I was not involved in any wrongdoing. Any insinuation to the contrary is false, baseless and defamatory.
It’s no secret I have been unhappy with the level and quality of service delivered by AHS and in the inability of AHS to deliver quality and timely healthcare to Albertans. I will continue to relentlessly push forward to make improvements. Although that has required difficult decisions and major change, I do not accept the current results. There is a widespread and deep-seated resistance to change that we must overcome.
That’s my goal: better healthcare for all.
It's always so conflicting when I see folks like *Doug Ford* actually doing the right thing.
Starting today and until U.S. tariffs are removed, Ontario is banning American companies from provincial contracts.
Every year, the Ontario government and its agencies spend $30 billion on procurement, alongside our $200 billion plan to build Ontario. U.S.-based businesses will now lose out on tens of billions of dollars in new revenues. They only have President Trump to blame.
We’re going one step further. We’ll be ripping up the province’s contract with Starlink. Ontario won’t do business with people hellbent on destroying our economy.
Canada didn't start this fight with the U.S., but you better believe we're ready to win it.
Conservatives across Canada are shocked to learn that the man they've called a drama teacher for ten years can deliver an epic and rousing speech... 🫠
Reminder: AHS parking lots are not covered under the Traffic Safety Act nor municipal parking bylaws. Tickets recieved are unenforceable and do not affect your ability to use Alberta's registry services.
I dare someone to tow me while I'm in the Children's Hospital ER.

I’ve been reflecting on this over the past day or so, and I’ve come to a realization.
Many of my friends on the center-right who are upset with me for making what I believe to be very obvious observations aren’t necessarily angry at me—they’re angry at the implications of what I’m saying.
The idea that neo-Nazism has entered the mainstream, potentially influencing the White House, is so alarming and existentially terrifying that it's easier to lash out at the messenger than confront the reality.
If they accept this, it means that the political home they've invested so much of their identity in, the movement they've championed for years, has become something so morally repugnant that accepting it feels like breaking their own brain.
The cognitive dissonance is overwhelming.
What's striking to me is the selective outrage. Many of these same people are quick to call everyone communists, often with little more than circumstantial evidence.
Yet, when it comes to countless instances of glaringly obvious signs of fascism in their own movement, they either look away or attack those pointing it out.
I can't believe we let these jabronies effectively co-opt the Canadian flag

Reasonable people have made it clear how harmful Trump is. Legal methods, democratic methods, and evidence-based methods haven't worked. At this point, it's time for either patience - let the right reap what they've sown until they learn (despite this harming all) - or violence.
