Playing around with running an Ubuntu XFCE desktop inside a rootless container, using docker-webtop and #Sysbox. This desktop env almost approaches a VM (but is much faster & light-weight), as it's well isolated (rootless) and you can run VM workloads in it, including Docker.
To launch it, I did: "$ docker run -d --rm --runtime sysbox-runc -e PUID=1000 -e PGID=1000 -e TZ=America/Los_Angeles -p 3000:3000 -v /home/cesar/tmp/webtop/config:/config lscr.io/linuxserver/webtop:u…" and then pointed my browser to "http://localhost:3000". That's it!
