The CEO of @The_DTCC talking to @SergeyNazarov on the future of finance and equity.
Innovation is key!
'Tokens should have the same entitlement onchain as they have offchain'
Equity is going to improve with legal rights for onchain use.
Tokenization adoption will grow much faster because of this.
'What problem are we trying to solve?'
Collateral movement has much room of improvement because of the blockchain technology today.
We're going from days to seconds because of the new technology opportunities and much more innovation is on its way!

Chainlink launched 24/7 pricing for tokenized stocks at Link:NYC today. A room full of bankers. That tells you who itās for.
Hereās the problem. Chains never close. Wall Street closes Friday at 8PM ET and doesnāt come back until Sunday night. So picture someone borrowing against a tokenized stock on Aave. Saturday morning, bad news hits. The stockās real market is shut, nobody can trade it, and the lending protocol still has to decide if that collateral is worth what the loan assumes. Stale price? Liquidate someone unfairly, or miss a loan thatās actually underwater. Either way itās a risk departmentās nightmare.
24/5 fixed the weekdays in January. The Friday to Sunday hole and holidays were still there.
So what does 24/7 actually use on a Saturday? During the week, regular and extended-hours data. When traditional markets shut completely, it switches to aggregated quotes from perpetual futures venues. Those trade around the clock, onchain-native. One integration instead of stitching feeds together.
Now the part nobodyās emphasizing. A Saturday āpriceā for a stock is really crypto traders betting on where it opens Monday. @chainlink own docs say weekend liquidity tends to be thin, and tell builders to add guardrails against volatility. Thatās an honest warning. Itās also the first thing an institutionās risk team will poke at.
NEW: Chainlink 24/7 launches at Link:NYC, unlocking always-on pricing for tokenized RWAs.
Chainlink 24/7 delivers continuous market data for equities, commodities, and other real-world assets across trading sessions, weekends, and market holidays, enabling:
ā Prediction markets and perpetual futures with 24/7 trading and settlement
ā Lending protocols that manage tokenized collateral when traditional markets close
ā Investors to manage position risk around the clock
@aave is adopting Chainlink 24/7 to bring always-on pricing to institutional RWA lending.
Global markets. No closing bell.
The future of finance is here, and itās powered by Chainlink.

āAll of this (adoption, tokenization) will generate a lot of revenue. The $LINK token will play a crucial role in this.ā ā @SergeyNazarov at LINK:NYC.
The Chainlink Reserve is how that thesis starts translating into token demand.
As institutional adoption drives greater usage of Chainlink services, a portion of the resulting revenue can be converted into $LINK through Payment Abstraction and accumulated in the Reserve.
The bigger Chainlinkās role in global financial infrastructure becomes, the more significant this mechanism gets.
Weāre still early.
āLending and credit is the killer use case for tokenizationā ā @SergeyNazarov at LINK:NYC.
Tokenizing trillions of dollars in assets is one thing. Making those assets usable as collateral to unlock liquidity and credit is where things get interesting.
And weāre seeing the infrastructure come together:
@chainlink is building the data, interoperability, and verification infrastructure.
@aave V4 is building the lending infrastructure to bring these assets into onchain credit markets.
I donāt think we realize how early we are.
Chainlink coded. Aave V4 coded.

DTCC just showed the future of collateral management with Chainlink at SIBOS 2026.
DTCC processes roughly $20T in securities trades daily.
Its Collateral AppChain is designed to coordinate 24/7, near-real-time collateral movement across markets and blockchains, with @Chainlink CRE for orchestration and CCIP for cross-chain connectivity.
This is the institutional infrastructure capital markets have been waiting for.
DTCC AND CHAINLINK AT SIBOS 2026
DTCC's Dan Doney and @SergeyNazarov presented how @The_DTCC is collaborating with Chainlink to advance 24/7 collateral management.
DTCC's Collateral AppChain provides shared infrastructure near real-time collateral management across financial markets and blockchains.
āThe problem being solved is the fragmentation of data, how everybody connects to move collateral and settle transactions, and the different systems that need to talk to each other but cannot do so quickly enough to allow intraday collateral movement.ā - Sergey Nazarov
DTCCās Collateral AppChain will leverage the Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE) for orchestration between those systems and data sources, and CCIP which enables the movement of assets, value, and liquidity to and from the AppChain.
"You finally have a reliable and legally binding ledger from the DTCC that everyone can rely on, just like they rely on the DTCC now. That's a very powerful thing that I think the capital markets have been waiting for, where they can't get that from just any chain because those guarantees with the DTCC are fundamentally different" Nazarov also added.
The DTCC Collateral AppChain is expected to launch in Q1 2027.

Siloed ledgers are todayās legacy systems.
@Chainlink provides the foundational, institutional-grade infrastructure that unifies capital markets across every major blockchain and traditional system.
Blockchain is the inevitable future of financial infrastructure. Banks and asset managers have clear reasons to adopt it: payments that run around the clock, transactions that execute automatically when agreed conditions are met, and assets that can be used to raise funds with fewer delays. These advantages matter to financial institutions because every hour spent waiting for settlement can tie up capital and limit business. As adoption grows, institutions will face increasing pressure to deliver the speed and flexibility their clients can access elsewhere.
Financial institutions are building across different networks, each with its own requirements for privacy, security, and transaction approval. A bank may record deposits on one blockchain while an asset manager holds securities on another. They still need to trade, lend, and settle with each other. Without reliable connections, institutions risk recreating the barriers that make todayās financial systems expensive to operate. The more banks build, the more valuable the infrastructure connecting them becomes.
This is the opportunity Chainlink is pursuing.
Chainlinkās recent announcements at Sibos show how it is addressing that problem. CCIP 2.0 is live, allowing institutions to move assets between blockchains with additional verification, compliance controls, and configurable confirmation speeds. Chainlink is also enabling banks to connect their existing systems to Swiftās blockchain ledger while retaining control of the keys that authorize transactions.
Fulcrum brings these connections into financing, helping institutions use securities on one supported network as collateral to obtain funds on another. Chainlink demonstrated a cross-chain securities financing transaction with DTCC, a major infrastructure provider for securities markets, with further integrations underway.
These developments position Chainlink to serve a fundamental need across institutional finance: making money and assets usable beyond the systems where they originate.
Banks can build their own blockchain businesses, while Chainlink provides the connections that help those businesses reach the wider financial market.
