Space feels a little emptier tonight.
For so many of us, Sir Patrick Stewart was the captain we grew up trusting. When Jean-Luc Picard stood up to speak, you listened. He could face down a warship, defend a stranger’s humanity or quietly admit he was wrong—and make every moment believable.
He gave Star Trek its conscience as much as its commanding voice. Through Picard, he showed us that intelligence, compassion and courage belonged together in the captain’s chair.
And there was something rather special about a Yorkshire lad taking the bridge of the Enterprise and making the universe listen.
Thank you for the adventures, Sir Patrick. For the dignity, the warmth, and the belief that humanity might yet become something better.
The bridge is yours, Number One. Our captain has earned his rest.
Goodnight, Sir Patrick. And thank you. 🖖

My father and Patrick Stewart went to school together and dad was a very first person to cast Patrick in his very first play. I have the play bill as proof and they remained lifelong friends hosting a show back in their beloved Yorkshire together a few years ago…. Patrick was always kind and gracious to me and took me round the Star Trek set both men Giants of Yorkshire.

RIP Patrick Stewart. What an actor. I still can’t believe he agreed to do this scene. And he didn’t even mind when I ruined every take. Legend.

🔥 hahaha … I had to check this twice. It’s so brilliant.
A politician in Armenia suggested they create a Ministry of Sex, to ensure “no woman was left unsatisfied”…
.. Because sexually frustrated middle-aged women are responsible for political unrest.
The men in the ruling party are so outraged by this, that they start punching each other, ripping clothes and throwing chairs.
And the PRIME MINISTER said the chair throwing was justified! … I’m not sure if that means women don’t need to be satisfied OR that’s not the reason they are all bonkers. (Isn’t clear from the reports)
Nor is it clear why the men kicked off.
But it is utterly brilliant 🔥

Now this is a great loss!
Sir Patrick Stewart was a generational talent!
I had the great privilege of a moment's meeting with him one time. He was a gentleman, who leaves us with a distinguished career of performances.
Rest in peace, sir.

What a heartbreaking week it has been. Sir Patrick Stewart was a friend, a colleague, and a magnificent actor. From the stage to the bridge of the Enterprise, he brought intelligence, grace, and a deep sense of humanity to everything he did. Captain Picard stood for the best of us, and so did the man who played him. I was filled with affection and admiration for him and his work.
My heart goes out to Sunny and his family. He will be deeply missed.

Just hanging on to their voters, and releasing the thought police on the rest of us
I have to go. There's a knock at the door...
In Downing Street yesterday, Andy Burnham and Angela Rayner met Muslim community leaders around the Cabinet table.
The Prime Minister used the opportunity to take a cheap pot-shot at his political rivals, accusing them of using “unacceptable language” about Islam.
This isn’t the first time Labour politicians have accused their rivals of being “Islamophobic” or sought to police speech about Islam.
Another revelation from the meeting is that Angela Rayner is reportedly set to announce the appointment of an “anti-Muslim hostility” tsar this week.
Rayner appointed five people to a working group tasked with drafting the definition. All had troubling links to Islamist organisations, including the Muslim Council of Britain and MEND.
The Communities Department, which Rayner leads, also said it had deleted all responses to the working group’s consultation — responses that were vital to drafting the definition.
After pressure from Nick Timothy and the threat of legal action from the Free Speech Union, the ministry announced that it did have the responses after all, but would not show them to us.
This has only fuelled speculation that the Government allowed extremists to influence what is now Britain’s de facto Islamic blasphemy law.
Who on earth is she going to appoint as the new Islamophobia tsar?

Despicable.
As the nationalist movement grows across the West, the Regime is taking an increasingly heavy-handed approach to try to shut us down.
I hope @_polemia are able to overturn this decision.
🇫🇷 France just BANNED a political conference. Americans and a lot of european personalities were on the program.
On October 29, the government issued an order banning “Remigration: let’s open the debate!”, an international conference organized by the think tank Polémia this Saturday, October 31, in Le Plessis-Robinson.
Who was going to speak? Sitting lawmakers from five countries, including the First Vice President of the Senate of Peru @AlejoMunante, a Czech MP and two members of the German Bundestag. And three Americans: Jason Killmeyer (former ICE chief of staff), Matt O’Brien (@FAIRImmigration) and Kristen Ziccarelli (America First Policy Institute @A1Policy ).
@JDVance warned Europe in Munich that the threat to its democracies came from within. Here it is: a state official deciding which immigration policies citizens and foreign lawmakers may discuss in public.
@POTUS @elonmusk @SecRubio : this is "free speech" in France, 2026.
Polémia is challenging the ban in court right now and will go all the way to the Conseil d’État, France’s highest administrative court. The conference stands until every legal remedy is exhausted.

All these mini-politicians will demean traditional British principles to keep the voters onside
Following my post highlighting concerns about the rapidly changing demographics of a Wycombe school, the entire local political establishment has lined up to attack me.
The mayor, Imran Hussain called me 'irresponsible and wrong'. The Labour MP yesterday said the remarks were 'divisive' and 'disrespectful'. The local Lib Dems said it's 'dog whistle politics.'
The same happened in Dartford - the Labour MP said it was 'dangerous'. Reform's council leader attacked me for 'focusing on the skin colour', saying it was 'quite astonishing'.
The school in Wycombe has gone from 60% White British to 30% in ten years.
Dartford? 52% ten years ago, 7% now. SEVEN percent.
White British students have almost gone extinct in that school.
Outlining concerns about the rapidly changing demographics of our country, and the obvious impact mass immigration has had on that is entirely legitimate.
And if Labour, Reform, Lib Dem politicians think it's not?
Who cares. Restore Britain is going to speak for the millions and millions of Brits who have been silenced on this for too long.
