A masterclass in standing up to intimidation. During the Seoul Defense Dialogue 2026, a Chinese military attaché handed Philippine Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro a note reiterating Beijing’s claim that the 2016 South China Sea ruling is “illegal, null and void.” Teodoro read it aloud and dismantled it point by point. “No binding force” ~ “Because you don’t want to be subjected to UNCLOS.” “China does not accept the ruling” ~ “Of course, because you lost.” Then, in Filipino: “Show a little decency. Have a little shame.” The room applauded. Teodoro called China’s move “actual coercion, bullying and aggression” and kept the note as a “memento.”

Daring High-Altitude Casualty Evacuation 🇮🇳 In a daring rescue mission at 18,600 ft near Nun Kun, Indian Army Aviation pilots evacuated a casualty from an extremely challenging slope with no landing space and strong winds. With the helicopter lightened by removing non-essential equipment and carrying limited fuel, the aviators executed the evacuation with exceptional precision, courage and determination, including a critical landing with one skid touching the slope. The mission, undertaken at the last available landing window of the day, stands as a testament to the skill, courage and compassion of Indian Army Aviation. #IndianArmy #ArmyAviation #CasualtyEvacuation #NunKun #Ladakh #NationFirst #Courage #ServiceBeforeSelf @adgpi @NorthernComd_IA @lg_ladakh @prodefleh @ANI

I have worked with Japanese Government/JICA on a few projects in Mizoram and Meghalaya. The issue with Japanese Govt. is that they are too rigid and have always wanted to implement Japanese policies in India without actually understanding the reasons why we push for implementation of our policies. For example, when the Japanese organised a training programme on responding to road damage and emergencies, they made us enact the entire process they follow. What struck us was how long and process heavy their response system was. So much time was spent following procedures that, in an actual emergency, it almost seemed counterproductive. It was taking them almost 12 hours to start their operations. In our case, the response would usually be much more direct. If there was a landslide or a road blockage, the officer on the ground would simply call the loader operator and get the machinery moving immediately. The first response would already be underway while the formal intimation to the Government and other procedural requirements were being taken care of. Of course, their system had a clear process and accountability built into it, but the exercise also showed us that too much process can sometimes slow down the very response it is meant to facilitate. So i would take whatever they say with a pinch of salt.

The defence and strategic community here may disagree on many things, but the end goal has always been the same. A stronger, united, self sufficient and unapologetic India. At a time when these kinds of BS narratives are finding organised political space, perhaps it is time for like minded people to come together, move beyond mere online discussions, and build something real for the nation? Not just lip service and procrastination but actually do something for this beautiful country. @alpha_defense @Defencematrix1 @Firezstarter1 @FinestYew
VIDEO | Delhi: Investigative journalist Saurav Das, who is serving as chief spokesperson of Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) addressing a press conference says, "Abhijeet Dipke will land in Delhi on June 6 morning at 8 AM. He has called upon his supporters to come to the airport and receive him, and all of them, along with Wangchuk ji, to come to Parliament Street with him and seek permission for a protest at Jantar Mantar. We invite everyone from all political parties to be part of the protest." #Delhi (Full video available on PTI Videos - ptivideos.com)

We have got dumb and dumber journalists in India. The good ones probably don't have the kind of access that Baba Banarasi Das types have. Additionally, the forces and the government may be controlling the extent and types of questions as well.
I had to go back and listen to Group Captain Amit Gehani again to understand what he meant when he referred to the J-10 and J-35. What is needed is a follow-up question from the media: “Do you consider Chinese stealth aircraft to be genuinely stealthy? If not, could you elaborate on why?” Without that context, the original question and answer dosent leave too much room for interpretation. This is where mainstream media often misses the opportunity..

1. No PL-17 for the internal bay. Without internal bay carriage, the A/c will be trackable at greater range. 2. Onboard radar will not provide guidance updates beyond certain distance. 3. AWACS to guide that missiles will have to get close to 200 km of the IB/LOC and fly continuously within that range to provide midcourse updates and risk being targetted by S400. 4. In absence of the above mechanism, ideally there would be no permanent altering of launch lines from either side. 5. Numbers they procure will define their usefulness. In lesser numbers, IAF should be able to counter with the existing lineup. Looking forward to where the next battery of s400 goes. 6. We saw runway interdiction being brought back by the IAF during the last ops. With limited depth, that will be an issue for the PAF forever. Chances are that next time, the skirmish may start off with that.
#PAF 2030 "No Defence in Depth" Push-Back Strategy: #PL17 envelope, anchored on #J35A holding line west of border + silent kill web, pushes back IAF #BrahMos/#ScalpEG launch line by ~220 km — exposing AEW&C, tankers & strikers to far higher risk.

Lot of new trons in the air right now, in that region. Good on IAF to send a sniffer.

Today, India takes a defining step in its civil nuclear journey, advancing the second stage of its nuclear programme. The indigenously designed and built Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor at Kalpakkam has attained criticality. This advanced reactor, capable of producing more fuel than it consumes, reflects the depth of our scientific capability and the strength of our engineering enterprise. It is a decisive step towards harnessing our vast thorium reserves in the third stage of the programme. A proud moment for India. Congratulations to our scientists and engineers.

PM briefed. I think, Land invasion is coming.
Received a call from President Trump and had a useful exchange of views on the situation in West Asia. India supports de-escalation and restoration of peace at the earliest. Ensuring that the Strait of Hormuz remains open, secure and accessible is essential for the whole world. We agreed to stay in touch regarding efforts towards peace and stability. @realDonaldTrump @POTUS

Bhai mai to Mk-2 se pareshaan hun. Sala ek baari me koi cheeze banti hi nahi hai. Gazab. And I don't think it's just a matter of resource lacking. It's also our vision. Why should we play catch up with anyone. Invent and employ disruptive technology. All of us have thought of this exact variant of CATS right from the get go. If countries like Turkey with half our industrial base can do it, what's stopping us? This is just insane.
.@hvtiaf_bharat interesting concept sir. Hope it does not end up just a presentation.
