One of my favorite pages from Chiba, don't even have words to describe it. Just beautifully paneled. Joe and Yoko's conversations at that club are some of my favorites in the entire series 🥲

He was the last of the major creatives responsible for my favorite anime of all time 🥺 I hope we can someday get the chance to experience more of his works than just Ashita no Joe, he deserves at least that. Rest in peace and thank you sensei 🙏

Tetsuya Chiba was an absolutely amazing mangaka. Reading Joe recently was an absolutely unforgettable experience and I could not recommend it enough. May he rest in peace.

Rest in peace to the unmatched Tetsuya Chiba, to call his work in Japanese comics influential would be selling his long career short. 87 is a damn good life lived, thank you for everything you gave us, absolute legend.
