@PWHL_Ottawa led the league in average attendance. Turns out Gary Bettman was right when he told league executive Stan Kasten the @thepwhlofficial needed to consider Ottawa when they were contemplating which cities should be in their original six.

A personal note: DJ Smith was the first NHL head coach I interviewed regularly as a reporter. He always treated me the same as my male colleagues and IMO, fostered a safe, respectful working environment. Made me feel comfortable in a male dominated space.
Hockey doesn’t always feel like an inclusive space, so for that I’ll always be grateful. #Sens
