Samson Esemuede, on why the Federal Government should be weakened of their obligations
He says the federal government has an obligation to be in charge of foreign policy, in charge of police, army, secondary school, tertiary institutions, etc.
This leads to a lot of borrowing.
He says the state governments should take on most of these responsibilities.
And the federal government should only be in charge of foreign policies and army.

Yup, Whilst corruption is a problem, it is not even top 5 of Nigeria's problems, any leadership in Nigeria that makes corruption a central issue for its campaign or rule will just chase shadows and waste everyone's time. Nigeria's central problem is a revenue problem, the country is just too poor for the kind of life we aspire for.
Our net budget is barely $40B, which is wholly inadequate and unacceptable for a nation of 240 million people. Nigeria needs a leadership that can grow the pie, to have a semblance of stability, we need a GDP of at least $800B, and a Tax:gdp of 15%, that will put government annual revenue from just taxation at at least $100B, we've wasted decades chasing shadows and spending what ought to be our seeds on ineffectual subsidies that only bred corruption.
Much of what is said in this video may sound counterintuitive to a Nigerian whose mind has been conditioned, for decades, to believe that corruption is the country's biggest problem.
If you are not an Obidient, this is especially for you. Take a moment to reflect on it. And do not leave with the idea that the argument is "corruption is not a major problem." That conclusion only comes to those who attack what they assumed was said before hearing what was actually said.

If you shared everything Nigeria’s federal government expects to collect in 2026 equally among Nigerians, each person would get $114.35 for the year. That is $9.53 a month, about N13,000.
And that assumes nothing else happens. No roads, no schools, no hospitals, no army, no salaries. Just the entire federal revenue divided by the number of Nigerians.
The first delusion to cure yourself of is that Nigeria is a rich country. You cannot heal a disease you refuse to acknowledge.
As a Nigerian, you should be angry that our election conversations almost never touch this, the mother of every other problem we have.
How do we expand our productivity?
That is the question. Everything else sits inside it.
Today is Sunday. When they say “Owó ni kẹ̀kẹ́ ìhìnrere,” what do you think it means?
It does not apply to the gospel alone. Whatever you want to carry, money is what carries it. It is why one of the first things the United States did in its war on terror was go after the money.
PS: Some comparisons below.

Hello God,
When I attain 70, having spent over four decades in the public space and built a reputation anchored on scholarly values, may I never become a banger man, desperately chasing relevance by rage-baiting people young enough to be my grandchildren.
May age deepen my wisdom, experience refine my judgment, and legacy preserve my dignity. May I never enter my twilight as a social media influencer, particularly to a mediocre personality like Peter. I do not crave this kind of end.
This is my humble prayer, Heavenly Father. Amen.
Obidients are some of the most irrational minds you could ever have a debate about governance with.
They can’t talk about policies that has been made nor the effect they have on the average Nigerian. Their arguement are always from an emotional pov. No iota of rationality or facts whatsoever in their thoughts. They are also the king of lies and goal post shifting. See how the Tinubu supporters were calm and the Obi supporters were loud and ignorant? They think they love Nigeria the most and speaking at the top of their voice with all their veins popping out is the only way they can prove that.
A lot of them are not knowledgeable about governance and politics. They don’t know what arm of government is responsible for what and they’re not even willing to learn. Most of them started following politics in 2022, and those who did before then weaponize lies to emotionally charged their headless mob.
I realized that a lot of people really didn’t know how bad Nigeria was and why things were that bad. When you try to explain to them, they become irritants who lose every sense of reasoning capability because they might be forced to agree with you. But they’d rather not, as it’ll mean they have to accept that this administration has actually been fixing things gradually.
Like I always say, you can’t make an informed decision about how good this administration has performed if you don’t know where we were, why we were there, and where we could have been if Tinubu didn’t push some of the reforms and policies he’s done. If you know, you’d understand why some of us are solidly behind him.
It’s 4x4 come January 16th.

A whale, even a shark can not live in a pond.
Why is President Tinubu fixated on his plan to make the Nigerian economy a one trillion dollar economy?
Long before even Jonathan became President, I had wondered why the national budgets of South Africa, Egypt and a few other countries in Africa were bigger than ours.
I did not know that Tinubu, as a private citizen, was of that thought too until he became president and made it known that we should have a far larger economy.
Yesterday, I checked to know what position Nigeria occupies when we talk of the size of the economy of countries and I saw that Nigeria’s economy is the 48th largest in the world but we are 6th in population size.
But I discovered too that only 22 cross the one trillion dollar economy.
They are USA ($32.6tr), China ($21.5tr), Germany ($5.47tr), Japan ($4.34tr), United Kingdom ($4.27tr), India ($4.06), France, Russia, Italy, Brazil, Canada, South Korea, Mexico, Australia, Spain, Turkey, Indonesia, Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, Switzerland ($1.14tr), Poland ($1.133tr) and Taiwan ($1.02tr).
Then who are the richest individuals in the world?
Forbes list of world’s top ten richest men shows that they are all Americans.
It is not a coincidence, it is because a whale can not live in a pond.
Among the top 50, you have 6 Chinese, a Mexican, 2 Indians, 2 Italians, 2 Japanese, a French man and the rest are Americans.
None of the 50 richest men are citizens or residents of any country outside the trillion dollar economies.
Not one person.
It is because a whale can not live in a pond.
Now, let us check Africa.
South Africa, Egypt and Nigeria have the largest economies and if you think that the global ranking was a coincidence, you will understand that it is not in the next paragraph.
Among the top 10 richest men in Africa, 3 are from Nigeria (Dangote, Abdusamad and Adenuga); 4 are from South Africa (Rupert, Opponheimer, Mosepe and Le Roux); the other 3 are from Egypt (Nasef Sawiris, Naguib Sawiris and Mansour).
You can see that it is not a coincidence, it is because a whale or even a shark can not live in a pond.
Nigeria belongs to the class of a trillion dollar economy but without a leader who is bold, courageous, determined, knowledgeable and capable, we will only continue to glory down the ladder of prosperous countries of the world.
How does this bring food to your table?
Well, a prosperous nation will eventually produce a better standard of living because more money will go into investments in manufacturing, construction, agriculture etc.
With Tinubu, Nigeria shall continue to climb the ladder.

Truthfully, the party that should have zoned it Presidency to the South East was PDP and it should have happened in 2023, the south east voted for them all through from 1999 to 2019 straight, based on politics, APC doesn’t owe the South East Leaders in the party certain positions, the party has never won in the region before and have never scored at least 25% in the total region as well, I’ll say the APC leaders in the south east are grounded in their states but can’t deliver the region or even their states to Tinubu in 2027.
Facts are stubborn.
“We Igbos have been given promises repeatedly without those promises being fulfilled. We cannot wait for 60 years only to become president for four years. When the presidency rotates to our zone, the Igbos will be entitled to a full eight-year tenure, just like other regions.”

Most of you know this story, but none of you have heard it from me.
Back in September 2018, Femi Hamzat wanted to be Governor of Lagos State. He had thirteen years of public service under Asiwaju and BRF, with the record and backing to win. Then party leaders asked him to step aside for me.
It takes a rare man to put down what he wants without nursing a grudge. Femi shook my hand and five weeks later, agreed to run beside me. I have never forgotten that.
Anyone can read a CV but only the person in the room with a man when the cameras leave can tell you who he really is. For 2,711 days, I have been in that room with him.
When COVID-19 hit, when we faced our hardest weeks, when the Blue and Red Lines ran and when the Lekki Deep Sea Port opened, Femi was there. Long before any ribbon was cut, he was asking the tough questions an engineer asks.
In many states, deputies are kept in reserve. On day one, Femi promised to be the best deputy governor in Lagos history. He kept his word. In seven years, there has not been a single day I wondered whose side he was on. We have had one government, one direction, and one voice.
Lagos runs on a relay system. The baton is never passed to a runner standing still. You run at full speed inside the exchange zone, together, before the pass. That is how Lagos has been governed for 27 years, from Asiwaju to BRF, to Ambode, to me.
Femi is a deputy governor like no other. He built the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge under Fashola, digitized government under Asiwaju and holds a doctorate in engineering. His father served Lateef Jakande. This is in his blood.
Critics say Lagos keeps choosing from the same pool. I say Lagos trains its people. With major projects underway and a master plan stretching to 2052, this is not the time to experiment. What Femi presents today is not a campaign promise cooked up on a bus, it is the next leg of a race we have been running since 1999.
Lagos does not hand the baton to a man standing still. Today, you have seen the man who is already running. Let us move forward together with The Lagos PROMISE.

Every Lagos Governor that comes still add to the existing healthcare system. Then we share this website with people who are insulting other Nigerians for a politician who didn’t build one single general hospital in 8 years. Madness.
Please when it comes to Healthcare, Don't compare any state in Nigeria to Lagos.
Lagos is far far ahead of every state in Nigeria.
From pushing mandatory health insurance for its residents.
Equipping its state hospital ( NO state hospital in Nigeria comes close)
Toll free and emergency response ambulances
Digitalising its healthcare system.
Revamping and investing in its primary health centers, and general hospitals.
Additional incentives like transportation for some staff using staff buses , etc
Really impressive
