People don't really understand that if a person is loyal to you, it's because of their character and morals, not because you are special
There’s this idea that single ppl are out at the club every night. No. We have bills and responsibilities just like everyone else…..
Geez Louise.

One of the most iconic movie scenes of all time. The dialogue remains solid after half a century!

Make sure you don't marry a people pleaser.
They will listen to everyone except you.
This is why I save almost all I can….. I feel on my bones …. This climate is awful
I feel sorry for people that don’t truly understand the true economic and job climate we are in…
People that are getting laid off will have a VERY tough time finding an equivalent role. They will very likely have to take a new role that pays less or switch fields entirely which will put them back to entry level (role and pay)…

as someone that’s worked with kids and now parents a majority of my professional life..parents aren’t really shining examples of maturity because if that were true the world would likely be a much better place.

God forbid you actually have a mind of your own, can think for yourself, and refuse to participate in the brainwashed groupthink mentality. It’s too many birds on the ground and not enough in the sky.
I've reached a point in life where I genuinely can't stand fake people anymore. The sweet-talkers. The show-offs. The people who are constantly performing a personality instead of actually having one. It's so fucking exhausting. And honestly, it's cringe. Like I can see what you're tryna do. I can see who you are and who you're trying so desperately "pretending" to be. What I really want is real. Raw conversations. Uncomfortable honesty. People who say what they mean and mean what they say. Not charm, I want character. I don't want to be impressed by you. I want to believe you. Because once you’ve seen enough of these "masks", authenticity is the only thing that feels attractive.

Being right years ahead of others isn’t nearly as satisfying as people think. Nobody apologizes for treating you like a crazy. They just come back years later, repeating what you told them as if it’s some groundbreaking revelation because they finally heard it from someone else.
My uncle saved $900,000 for retirement.
Lived on nothing for 35 years to do it.
Brown bag lunches.
No Vacations.
Same car for 17 years.
Clipped coupons until the very end.
Died with $900,000 in the bank.
His kids split it.
Spent it in 19 months.
He saved 35 years of living for people who spent it in a year and a half without thinking about him while they did.
I went to Chicago once in March and it was brutal. One time in June one of the days was like winter!

Birdwatching is the easiest and quickest way to regulate your nervous system. You can do it in a busy city or in the middle of nowhere. Bird's chirping is an evolutionary signal to our body that there are no predators and we can rest.
As long as your rent is low and you save the difference-you will be fine but don’t spend the difference! Lol
I’m starting to not see the point in buying a house anymore.
- Most houses I’ve looked at are over valued.
- Property taxes (in Texas) are wild.
- I have to maintain everything.
- Mortgage would be more than my rent.
- No guarantee value would increase.
- Less amenities than a luxury apartment.
Am I crazy for feeling this way? I feel crazy for feeling this way.
