The most incredible couple days with the most incredible people. This disease is the worst; the people fighting it — those who have it, their caregivers and families and those who are working to help end it — are just the best. ❤️

I did today what the doctor suggested 4 years ago on this day. Watched my son’s Little League playoff game. Listened to a podcast while lying in the sun. Worked on my laptop, Cut the grass. That is, I did what brings me joy. Year 4 living with #ALS cut that list down. A lot. 1/3
I can no longer drink any liquids. Can’t bathe myself. Can’t dress myself. Can’t drive. Can’t speak above a whisper. And yet I’m as energized as ever and the healthiest I’ve been since last summer.
I’ve come to view health and disability as two very different things. 2/3

The best way to end ALS is for all of us to get genetic testing. If you do, it will unlock new treatments like Tofersen.
If you have any questions or have not yet had testing, @synapticure is here for you.

4 years and 51 spinal injections later my experimental drug is no longer experimental. So grateful, proud & relieved to be a part of bringing the first-ever genetically targeted ALS drug to market.
