Station tannoy says if I see anything unusual to see it etc. Darlings, its ComicCon and the Lizzie line is packed with brightly coloured superheroes, monsters and elves. The only unusual thing to see l are the weirdos in boring clothes.

as bad as things have gotten in the past 4 days, they are going to get a lot worse before they get better. security leaders, never let a crisis go to waste: please go to your boards and ask for help right now. not for ai, for the basics. (we need to hold on for ~18 months.)

Despite suffering significant injuries in a devastating train crash, Dr Eleanor Prior put the lives of others first, taking lifesaving action before emergency services arrived. When her train collided with a stationary train near Bedford, Eli was thrown eight metres down the aisle. Ignoring her own injuries, the GP stayed in the front carriage to help severely injured passengers. When the emergency services arrived, she worked alongside them to triage casualties and even refused an ambulance for herself so that others could take it. Watch Eli receive her Special Recognition Award at The Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards on Thursday 22 October at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX. @pandocruises @DailyMirror #PrideOfBritain #PrideOfBritainAwards #SpecialRecognition #DailyMirror #ITV #ITVX

I wish people would stop running these events. Its says nothing about how blind people live and adapt and quite frankly it says far too much about those who equate their 30 min experience to lives who have a wealth of lived experience.

🧵 Yesterday I experienced what I believe was a serious failure of accessibility on the @TfL underground as a powered wheelchair user. I started my journey from Brixton to Colindale with assistance arranged by staff. Despite doing everything right, I ended up stranded on a train.

Staff more stations. It’s better for everyone.
Replying to @Primageographer
Hi Paula. Apologies for the uncomfortable conditions you experienced last night. The waiting rooms at our stations are locked if the stations are not staffed. This is to prevent vandalism ^DR

Another reason why I'm increasing tuning out of BBC Newsnight.. Left: Winston Marshall. Guitarist. Father, Sir Paul Marshall, co-owns GB News. On Fox News suggested a mine-laden ‘floating wall’ in the Channel to stop small-boat crossings Right: Dr. Faiza Shaheen, an economist, academic, writer and political campaigner focused on inequality, social mobility and public policy.

Disabled people need more support. Most ableds believe if you get “sick enough” help will magically appear. It doesn’t work like that. Unless you have family or deep pockets, you’re on your own. Abuse is rampant. Suffering is inevitable.
