Happy 67th birthday to Magic Johnson! That Latrell Sprewell fake is still one of the most disrespectful plays of the decade. Magic sent that man to the shadow realm and the Forum lost its mind.

Players in the NBA believe Darryn Peterson could’ve played in the league last year, and scouts consider him the best guard prospect in a decade “I think he could have played in the NBA last year, to be honest with you. He’s going to have a special career … and I hope that when it’s all said and done, it’s LeBron [James] coming out of Ohio and then you’re talking about him.” (Via si.com/college-basketball/da…)

All I want from NBA on NBC next season is the original intro (kept mostly intact) and the kind of storytelling Bob Costas and Marv Albert delivered before games.
