Fifty companies, including Microsoft, Goldman Sachs and Coca-Cola, have told a new crypto venue not to tokenize their stock. Under the SEC’s new rules, that objection is the only lever they have. So who should control tokenized stocks: the companies, crypto platforms or Wall Street itself? Here’s how the two tokenization models differ, why issuers are pushing back, and what it means for investors šŸ‘‡ clapp.finance/blog/who-contr…

Market Moves šŸ‘†šŸ‘‡ Hyperliquid is getting close to its $97.96 all-time high. The latest catalyst is ICE, the NYSE's parent company, announcing plans to bring Hyperliquid-based perpetual futures to US traders through a regulated market, in partnership with TradeXyz and pending approvals. There's also a steady source of buying pressure behind hyperliquid:native . Around $15 million in USDC reserve earnings is set to fund buybacks of roughly 180,000 HYPE this month. Meanwhile, 97% of platform fees already go toward daily buybacks and burns. That's a fairly direct link between platform activity and token demand. Bitway had a much rougher week. On November 2, 100 million BTW tokens, worth roughly $110 million, entered circulation. Early holders wasted little time selling. A reported exploit at Binance added to market anxiety, sending bitcoin:native below $78,000 and triggering hundreds of millions of dollars in liquidations. With relatively little liquidity in BTW's trading pools, the selling pressure hit especially hard.

Most crypto wallets come down to 12 or 24 words on a piece of paper. Lose them, and your coins may be gone. Leak them, and someone else can move them. MPC wallets work differently: there’s no single key to lose, and a lost phone doesn’t have to mean lost funds. Here’s how it works, how it compares to hardware wallets and exchanges, and what it still doesn’t fix šŸ‘‡ Read Now: clapp.finance/blog/how-mpc-w…

Quick Meowrket Update šŸˆā€ā¬› #Bitcoin gave back its two-day bounce earlier today, dropping from above $81,700 to around $79,800. The selloff started in Seoul and spread to crypto. #Samsung shares fell more than 5% after its chip division reported operating profit of 106.5 trillion won, just under the 108.5 trillion analysts expected. Kospi lost over 2% and Nasdaq futures dropped 1.4%. Ether, XRP, and Solana all followed Bitcoin lower. The Fed didn’t help, holding rates at 3.75%-4% on Wednesday after September’s rate hike. Chair Kevin Warsh said inflation is improving but still too high, and CME FedWatch shows over an 80% chance of another increase in December. Higher real yields make speculative assets like crypto a harder sell. About $374 million in futures positions were liquidated over 24 hours, almost $219 million of them longs. Bitcoin made up $97 million of the total and Ether $81 million.

Are savings and staking rates guaranteed? Staking rates vary with the network. Rewards come from inflation and transaction fees, which change with the number of participants and the decisions of the protocol. The APY shown is an estimate and may change over time. Savings work differently, although ā€œguaranteedā€ is used loosely here as well. It usually means the rate is fixed for the agreed term. If you lock in 8.2% APR for 12 months, the rate stays the same while the term is active. It does not mean the payout is assured under all conditions or that the underlying yield is free of risk. Crypto savings are not FDIC-insured, and market conditions, counterparty issues, or platform problems can still affect the product. Clapp uses Fireblocks institutional-grade MPC custody, with user funds segregated from company operational funds. Fireblocks also carries insurance coverage for digital assets under its protection. This covers custody and asset protection and does not function as deposit insurance, so it reduces risk but does not eliminate it. Check our full article on this topic: clapp.finance/blog/fixed-vs-…

What happens when a validator breaks the rules? Slashing is a penalty built into Proof-of-Stake blockchains. If a validator breaks the rules or stops doing its job, the network automatically takes a portion of the crypto they’ve staked. It’s what keeps validators careful. Validators lock up their own coins as a bond before they can validate transactions. If they double-sign blocks, vote on conflicting chains, or stay offline too long, the protocol detects it and applies a penalty. Slashed funds are usually burned or sent to a network treasury, and repeat offenders can be jailed or removed from the validator set. šŸ‘€ On networks that enforce it, delegators can share in a validator’s penalty, which is why the validator you pick matters. On Clapp, native staking for SOL and TRX is delegated to trusted validators on your behalf, so there’s no infrastructure to run and no validator to vet. Neither network currently slashes delegators, so this risk doesn’t apply to either asset today.

Darknet markets moved close to $2.6 billion in crypto last year, even after years of police takedowns. Shut one down, and buyers and sellers just move to the next. So how do they actually work? Tor, escrow, seller reviews, and a quiet shift from Bitcoin to Monero. Here’s the full breakdown šŸ‘‡ clapp.finance/blog/borrowing…

Weekly Crypto Moves šŸ‘†šŸ‘‡ #MemeCore’s bounce is mostly leverage. Open interest climbed as traders opened fresh futures positions, setting off relief rallies of 10% to 11%. Meme-sector speculation pulled in some capital, and the recent #LayerZero and #Stargate integrations opened up cross-chain access for M, USDC and USDT on BNB Chain and Base. Spot volume is thin, though, and a few top wallets hold a large share of supply, so a rally like this can reverse quickly. #Bitway is cooling off after a 5,000%+ run that peaked near $2.75 in mid-October, with early holders cashing out. It’s down to roughly $1.64, a 31% to 33% weekly drop. Momentum was stretched, and a cautious altcoin market gave traders another reason to rotate out. Scheduled token unlocks adding to circulating supply keep the pressure on.

Quick Market Update 🤠 Bitcoin’s Wednesday surge to nearly $85,000 lasted about six hours. Mixed earnings from Tesla and Meta did little to calm nerves around the AI trade, and BTC is back at $82,500. Tesla fell 3% after cutting its capital-spending forecast, and Nasdaq futures slid 1.1%. Asia had it worse: South Korea’s Kospi dropped 2.2%, while China’s CSI 300 fell 1.7% and is on course for a bear market. In crypto, Zcash is the only major in the green, up 1% on the day. Hyperliquid leads the losses at 2.3%, while Ether, BNB, and Tron each slipped just 0.2%. There’s some good news on the institutional side. US spot Bitcoin ETFs have taken in over $1 billion this week, though that’s still short of the pace behind past big rallies. Bitcoin’s strongest uptrends have typically come with average daily inflows above $200 million, and flows have been choppy so far.
