Today, I return to the country in which I became a functioning adult: my beloved Switzerland.
Not as a jejune lawyer with dreams of changing the world, but as a Visiting Professor at the University of Bern.

I am looking forward to seeing many Berliners at the book launch event for Nation Of Strangers: Unsere Heimat Sind Wir. It ls on the 4th of February, 20:00, at #pfefferbergtheater . This launch is special to me not only because it will be chaired by wonderful Eva Menasse, but also because I wrote this book in Berlin, the world capital of strangers! In fact, most of the book was written in this garden, where the picture is taken by Svenja Wiesen. It is this Berlin garden that replaced the one I had to leave behind in Istanbul.
