The absurdity of “lack of physical difference” aside, girls are allowed to play in sports leagues with boys and many do. Yet, girl leagues still form. So “we “ don’t even actually separate boys and girls in sports beyond what girls (and their parents) voluntarily do themselves.
It’s going to be interesting how Hinojosa ultimately balances increased public funding for education and abolishing property taxes for single-family homes and reducing tax revenue from data center opposition.

Much of the abundance crowd cares about abundance in only three things: 1. renewable power 2. transit 3. urban housing.
The throughline is that they believe all of these are essential to fighting climate change. Other types of abundance don't concern them.

The WSJ lays out what keeping Gulf oil flowing actually involves:
-50,000 US troops, 20 Navy ships, two carriers across the region.
-$2–3 Billion USD/month or 67-100 Million USD/day above normal military spending
-Aircraft, warships and crews under mounting strain.
-Some US officials see the situation as untenable without more international help. Coalition efforts have failed.

The point matt made--and the one I expounded on in the tweet you replied to--is that Trump's core policy positions are almost all to the left of romney's. It's his normative approach to governing (and everything else) that codes as extreme/"right wing." Adding trade policy and govt equity in private cos if anything strengthens the case. Even on immigration, Romney *policy* rhetoric was arguably further right than Trump's first campaign (certainly in 2012 when Trump called it mean and extreme and blamed it for his loss.)
