This question is cogent and germane to our collective consciousness: What is Politics to you? To some it's an avenue to build wealth, To some, it's a platform to serve, to some others, it's business and some see it as a means to attain power/relevance. Whichever perspective....
Haters spotted! How on earth do you expect the goalkeeper to get to that ball…
That was a brilliant free kick from the Goat 🐐 @Cristiano don’t be an hater!
This is ignorant take!
And you know it Prof.
It is a global problem, but many of this folks are just too myopic & ignorant to understand that the US/IRAN war is affecting every part of the globe!
Why are knowledgeable folks being deliberately mischievous? For Political gains?

Like I said earlier, they are merely saying anything to capture the headlines no matter how ridiculous. This is why we struggle to win the debate about schooling being a scam. Never allow your schooling affect your education adversely. 🤷🏽♂️

You really a 🤡 so nothing more to expect from you!
Just like your Agule guy Peter Obi…
It’s a lie! And this lies have been debunked over and again… but you lot seem to hold onto it as your life depends on it…
You as a father, can you keep saving ur funds, while ur children didn’t go to school, neither do they have better meals and your bank accounts is swelling?
Replying to @Clazz1st
Isn’t it stupid of you to see someone who achieved so much, without borrowing and left behind more than 9 lifetime investments for the states. And also left money. The value of the money he left is about $1billion in today’s Nigeria. Hatred shouldn’t make you sound stupid.
Thank you, bro Ademujimi, for this excellent exposition!
See, I dare submit that, if you as a Pastor begins to use the word, Paul says, rather than, the Bibles says! It means you’re trying to be clever by half or misleading the people!
All Scriptures are inspired by God!
This will be long.
Ephesians 1-3 is probably the most important book about the kingdom itself. The Kingdom is Christ, and no Kingdom is outside Christ. And no one was able to communicate the kingdom the way Paul did in Ephesians 1-3.
So, Myles Munroe was more of a Kingdom influence pastor; go into the world and do this and that. Influence the culture. Take over systems, shape the world - that’s probably where his takes are coming from. Myles set the basis and principles of engaging the world, which is prominent in certain Christian circles today. It is the reason you find Pastors like Pastor Kunle Soriyan make certain statements that many Christians find disturbing.
So, you also find songs like 'I have decided to Follow Jesus' by Gaise Baba.
Now, if we go back to all the parables of the Kingdom, those are the forte of Myles Munroe, and where he developed his kingdom concept of shaping and influencing the world. In fact, he started shaping the constitution of countries; I think Somaliland (can’t remember properly) consulted him to shape their constitution after God’s principles. They were on the project before his accident. So, Somaliland ran to Israel (however, there is a political undertone to this too).
This is the most critical point in Christendom because Paul didn’t go about telling people to be great business leaders, be innovators, be inventors, etc. Jesus said you are the salt and light of the world, also a city set on the hill that cannot be hidden.
Paul believed the Gospel is solely Christ and focused entirely on Him. It’s the reason he was also not overly emphatic about giving, kingdom advancement, prospering, building systems, etc., and pastors like Myles Munroe believed the parables of the kingdom as told by Jesus centered on those things…
However, they miss an important aspect of Paul’s ministry and that was Aquila and Priscilla. Both of them were great business leaders but also great missionaries.
In our attempt to be a blessing to the world, we’ve become shallow believers, such that we are overly obsessed with money and created a new ministry for ourselves, “Kingdom Financiers”.
''I am called to be a kingdom financier", we hear this everytime.
So, we talk about 7 mountains of influence, etc.
This is the reason we see ministers start the gospel based on Christ and as they grow and see the needs of people, they pivot to another thing entirely and start carving identities outside of Christ to mentally ascertuate the people to produce certain realities in their lives that they feel. I have spoken about this a few times and say that no identity must be carved outside of Christ under any circumstance because in Christ, we have been given all that pertain to life and Godliness. It's the reason I wrote about Andrew Wommack a few days ago. He seems to be the only minister to teach Christ from a small congregation to global ministry with thousands of members across the world with successful people from every walk of life without carving any identity for the people outside of Jesus Christ for them. No need for dimensions, portals, realms, the seed of this and that.. etc.
The point is not to be influential or purposeful in the world, the point is driving another identity into Christians in a bid to influence the world.
I believe Aquila and Priscila, whom Paul also managed, are key to answering this; this is my study on them:
Aquila was a Jewish native of Pontus (a province in northern Asia Minor along the Black Sea), while his wife Priscilla is frequently designated in Paul’s epistles by her formal Roman name, Prisca.
The couple originally established a successful business in Rome. However, around AD 49, Emperor Claudius issued an imperial edict expelling all Jews from the capital. Roman historian Suetonius records this event in De Vita Caesarum (Life of Claudius 25.4), noting that Claudius "expelled from Rome the Jews who were constantly making disturbances at the instigation of Chrestus" (a common Roman misspelling of Christus).
This extra-biblical account aligns with Acts 18:2, explaining how a sudden geopolitical crisis forced Aquila and Priscilla to relocate their business from Rome to Corinth, where they met the Apostle Paul.
In Acts 18:3, Luke records that Paul stayed and worked with Aquila and Priscilla because "they were tentmakers [skēnopoioi] by trade."
The Scope of the Enterprise: In the 1st-century Greco-Roman economy, a skēnopoios was not merely a canvas stitcher, but a skilled artisan working with heavy leather, woven goat hair (cilicium), and textiles to produce military gear, commercial awnings, maritime sails, and travel tents.
Marketplace Agility: Their trade required supply chain management, raw material procurement, and client negotiation. It was portable and resilient, allowing them to establish prosperous commercial hubs across three major imperial cities: Rome, Corinth, and Ephesus.
Financial Independence: By maintaining a profitable business, they self-funded their missionary journeys and provided financial protection for Paul, shielding his ministry from accusations of seeking financial gain from converts (1 Corinthians 9:15–18).
Despite their entrepreneurship prowess, they were vast in Christ and His theology.
In Acts 18:24–26, a brilliant Jewish orator from Alexandria named Apollos arrived in Ephesus. Though eloquent and mighty in the Old Testament Scriptures, his understanding of Christian baptism was incomplete, stopping at the baptism of John.
When Aquila and Priscilla heard him speaking boldly in the synagogue, they demonstrated remarkable spiritual discernment and grace:
Private Correction: Instead of publicly debating or humiliating him, they invited Apollos into their home.
Theological Depth: They "explained to him the way of God more accurately" (akribesteron). As lay entrepreneurs, their grasp of Christian doctrine was sophisticated enough to instruct and mentor one of the premier scholars of the early church.
Aquila and Priscilla converted their personal residences into strategic mission headquarters:
Ecclesial Hubs: They hosted vibrant house-churches in Corinth (1 Corinthians 16:19), Ephesus, and later upon their return to Rome (Romans 16:3–5).
Self-Sacrificial Courage: In Romans 16:3–4, Paul writes: "Greet Prisca and Aquila, my fellow workers in Christ Jesus, who risked their own necks for my life, to whom not only I give thanks but also all the churches of the Gentiles." They put their lives and social standing on the line to shield the apostolic movement during times of violent persecution.
This is my conclusion:
The purpose of God is to bring men into Christ, make them become Christ experientially, as we minister Christ to the world.
This is the purpose of every believer: receive Christ, become Christ experientially and manifest His life (this includes all the gifts of the Spirit). Be productive in the world and solve problems, but your influence is used to minister Christ to men. No one will do it in that field except you. You are a minister of Christ not called to reveal a dimension of God. You are to reveal Christ. So, if you are a career diplomat, for example, you should be able to teach Christ, manifest His Life, bring people in your place of influence into Him and also fund the gospel. In revealing Christ, you are meant to intercede too, who will intercede for people in your place of influence or estate if not you? Your sole purpose in Life is Christ, the secular reality is a means to an end, and the end is Christ. Pauline Epistles captured all these but they don't know.
My view.

In the past and in recent weeks, I've seen some Christians say don't agree with Paul's writings which I find really curious. Here, the late Dr. Myles Munroe claimed that the writings of Paul was not focused on the gospel which I totally disagree with.
Romans and the same Corinthians says otherwise. In fact, 1Cor 15:1-3 is the most profound definition of what the gospel is. But I agree with the part that his writings was about doctrine and life in the kingdom.
Take a listen.

Mr. Akatugba, you’re just trying to be funny!
This is political season and you I know pretty well that a lot of things come with it, if you’re not ready to feel the heat, you get out of the kitchen!
Politics is not for the fainthearted!
Mr. Oma, you’re deflecting again!
Is the discussion about one Nigeria 🇳🇬 or about the capability of this Agulu Fraud???
The doesn’t even understand basic economic principles!
He doesn’t know the meaning of separation of powers between the arms of government!
Peter Obi is shame to Ndi Igbo!
He doesn’t sound coherent or intelligent!
He’s always with his populist rhetoric!
People seem to lose a part of their nobility the moment they enter government in Nigeria.
The Keyamo I knew as a lawyer was someone many people admired and looked up to, but the version we see tweeting today seems like a far cry from the man he used to be.
Our leaders often appear more loyal to their political parties than to the country itself, and this misplaced loyalty is one of the reasons Nigeria continues to move backwards.
You may not share the
same political ideology or agree with his views, but that is no justification for being so disrespectful. I doubt you would speak to him in such a manner if he had never ventured into politics.
Disagreement is part of democracy, but respect and civility should never be sacrificed at the altar of political differences.
Rather counter what Mr. Keyamo said about your mediocre candidate, you went ahead assassinating his character!
Obi said, “he wishes that all govt should leave monies in bank like he did, even without doing nothing” how does that sound to you?
You lot are beyond redemption!

I hold a BSc degree in International Relations and a postgraduate degree in Financial Management. I have a fair understanding of the current happenings in Nigeria, and I believe that anyone comparing Tinubu's administration to previous ones is demonstrating economic illiteracy.
For anyone to say Jonathan or Buhari's administration was better than Tinubu's, or that Abacha or Obasanjo's time was the golden era, is to completely misunderstand how an economy works.
Nigerians suffer from what I call Past-Glorification Syndrome - we judge today with yesterday's price tag while forgetting yesterday's poverty.
Let us be factual.
1. You Cannot Compare Price Without Comparing Income, Population and Structure.
They will tell you bread was 50 naira under Obasanjo and fuel was 75 naira. Yes. But what was minimum wage then? 7,500 naira. What was the average salary of a graduate? How many Nigerians earned 100k in a month? Today minimum wage is 70,000 naira, corps members earn 77k, even a POS attendant makes 40-50k. The numbers have moved because the economy has moved.
When a bag of cement was 200 naira, how many Nigerians built a house? Less than 10% owned a decent home. When Peugeot 504 was 2,000 naira, how many families owned a car? One car in a whole street was celebrated as a rich man. The car was cheap on paper but unaffordable in reality.
Today a bag of cement is 15,000 naira, but look around Lagos, Ogun, Abuja - every month, thousands of new houses are being roofed. Nigerians are building more now than ever. Today a Toyota Corolla is 25 million, but every street has 20 cars, young boys of 24 are buying Benz and Lexus. Why? Because access to income, credit, business and opportunities has expanded, even if the price tag looks high.
Cheap price does not mean prosperity. Abundance at a high price is better than scarcity at a low price.
2. Past Administrations Ate The Future That Tinubu Is Now Paying For.
What Obasanjo, Jonathan and Buhari did was borrow time.
Obasanjo met almost zero external debt after Paris Club,Jonathan met $340bn in foreign reserves and oil at $120 per barrel,Buhari met a system where we were still pretending fuel subsidy was sustainable. What did they do?They printed subsidy. They kept Naira at 200, 400, 750 artificially while CBN was bleeding billions to defend it. They kept fuel at 87, 145, 195 naira while NNPC was owing trillions and not remitting to FAAC.
That was not good economy - that was postponement of doom.If Obasanjo were president today with population at 240 million, oil production at 1.3mbpd instead of 2.5mbpd,debt service taking 98% of revenue as it was in 2023, and no subsidy removal, this country would have collapsed completely. Things would be far worse.
Tinubu came and did what every serious economist said must be done: remove the fake subsidy and unify the exchange rate. It is painful like surgery, but surgery is not wickedness;the disease is wickedness.
3. Population Has Doubled, But Productivity Did Not.
In 1999 when Obasanjo came, Nigeria was 110 million people. Today we are over 230 million. Same land, same epileptic power grid, same ports, but double the mouths. In Abacha's time,we were 105 million, many in villages farming. Now over 60% are in cities, all wanting fuel, housing, import, dollar.
You cannot feed 230 million people with the economic formula of 110 million people. The past administrations never prepared for this explosion. They never built refineries, they killed textile mills, they destroyed Ajaokuta. Now one administration is expected to fix in 4 years what was destroyed in 30 years?
4. Why Nigerians Live In The Past.
It is psychological. When things are hard now, the past always looks easy because you have forgotten the pain of that past. During Abacha, people queued for fuel for 3 days, phone call was for the rich - NITEL landline was 80k. People died because you could not make a call. But today because life was managed then, people say "Abacha was better."
Congratulations 🎊🎈 sir! Wishing all the best.
Happy birthday to me.
1: Another year, another blessing, another opportunity to live, grow and make an impact.
2: I’m grateful to God for the gift of life, the lessons, the victories and the journey so far.
3: I look forward to greater achievements, good health, more adventures and beautiful memories.
