The housing market is in the doldrums, no one wants to move with the higher stamp duty rates. Never seen so many reduced property prices. This is worse than the crash of 2007 / 2008. Rental properties being squeezed and rents going ⬆️
2/2 Funny thing is they would have spent £60k / year in the local economy. Probably over a £1,000,000 lost to the local economy over their retirement. Who is losing out?
1/2 I know of someone looking to buy a 2nd home in Scotland for their retirement. The ADS has put them off and they are going to save £100k in tax buying in another country because they wanted to keep their family home in England for family reasons.
The government's renters right Bill is seeing 1st time renters frozen out of the market. If things we're not hard enough already for your children trying to find work they are now getting harder trying to find somewhere to live.
In the business world, people are being made redundant, builders merchants are quiet. Recession is only months away, start saving for bad times!

NEW: Farmers across Britain are staging a large scale protest in Westminster at 11:00 on the 19th Nov.
They plan to shut London down with manure spreaders and hundreds of tractors.

#budget oh well today's the day when working people won't face higher taxes, businesses will face extra costs, prices will rise across every sector to cover these costs so they can stay in business or lay off staff. It's a lose/lose for each and every one of us.
