Derek Jeter shares a truth about failure that most people don't want to hear.
"Failure is essential. If I can promise you one thing for certain, you will fail. I wouldn't have had the success without the failures."
Failure isn't the opposite of success - it's part of the path to it.
Successful people don't avoid adversity. They expect it. They know that they must learn from the setbacks and challenges.
You can't avoid failure - you have to be relentless in your pursuits and refuse to let it stop you.
Failure isn't a destination - it's a checkpoint. It's where growth begins.

While the world is captivated by many visible, dire global conflicts, I donāt want to forget that many people are silently battling their own personal warsāsignificant struggles that arenāt āreportedā and easily go unnoticed. Iām thinking of all those facing these invisible challenges. Iām thinking about Savannah Guthrie and families of missing persons. Iām thinking of victims in the Epstein files and the less visible trafficked souls. Iām thinking of refugees who just want peace. Food insecure kids attending school who donāt know if there will be dinner at home. The list is longātoo long. Stay strong, friends!

THIS IS ONE OF THE GREATEST QUOTES OF ALL-TIME BY #NFL LEGEND BILL BELICHICK:
āYou experience the Pain of Preparation or the Pain of Failure. It's pain either way. You have to decide if you want pain at the beginning or pain at the end.ā

Tom Brady: To be successful at anything, the truth is, you do not have to be special.
You just have to be what most people aren not: consistent, determined and willing to work for it. No shortcuts.

Jayden Sison '26 is one of five collegiate ice hockey players named a finalist for the 31st annual Hockey Humanitarian Award (@hha_foundation), presented annually to "college hockey's finest citizen.ā ⤵ļø
Founded in 1996, the Hockey Humanitarian Award celebrates a student-athlete who makes significant contributions their team but also to the community-at-large through volunteerism.
Throughout his time at Princeton, Jayden has volunteered with the Princeton Student Athlete Service Club, @PVCTIGERS's Youth Sports Clinic, Reading with the Tigers, and Tiger Pals, and @goteamimpact. He's also involved in @sniderhockey in his hometown of Paoli, PA.
The @princetonSPIA major with a minor in history says "Community service has always been a part of who I am. I think growing up, whether through my parents or other mentors, I was taught the importance of supporting and giving back to those around you."
His service activities have led to many meaningful memories throughout his Princeton career. One that stands out is seeing Grayson, Princeton Men's and Women's Hockey's Team IMPACT player, score the winning goal at Baker Bash. Team IMPACT is an organization that pairs children with serious illnesses and disabilities with college athletic programs across the country.
"Seeing him on the ice not only with our team, but alongside the entire Princeton Hockey program was incredibly special ... celebrating that moment together is something Iāll never forget."
Another deep connection Jayden has built is with Matthew, a local sixth grader who he has mentored over the last three years through the Tiger Pals program.
"I think Iām drawn to mentoring young athletes, especially hockey players, because thatās the environment that shaped me the most," he said. "I was fortunate to have coaches and older players invest time and belief in me, and I understand how powerful that can be at a young age."
Jayden commends those around him for the support to be able to give back so often.
"Princeton is a place that not only encourages service, but actively supports it, and I am incredibly grateful to be part of this community."
