Why are fossil fuel companies allowed to profit at all?
Why aren’t they being forced to pump their $2,500,000,000 DAILY PROFITS into rapid decarbonization?
Why aren’t all those who subverted the truth about this genocidal industry for 40 years in prison?
Genuine questions.

Google did this to build a data center in Finland.
It was illegal, but they did it anyway.

We had more days above 30 degrees C this Summer than during the whole of the 1980s. Yes, really! In one year!
I personally find the complacency of the major parties on climate breakdown, which is just starting, the extreme position.

Sorry, but this is absolute nonsense. The reason people haven’t acted on climate change is because the massive amount of disinformation being pumped out from most of the media that for decades has said it’s probably not true.
The opposite is true. This woolly false hope forced positivity mentality is exactly why people don’t understand it’s the existential life-and-death-billions-of-us-at-risk crisis that it is.

To the mainstream press Burnham is riding high and Polanski a loser. Burnham stands for so little he is on the Starmer path to oblivion. Polanski and the Green Party work to reduce climate disaster and to ensure that we have decent homes and enough to live on. Who is the loser?
Replying to @ZackPolanski
@ZackPolanski still telling it as it is… unfazed, unbowed & still highly focused after a plethora of MSM attacks on his character & leadership qualities.
His story still has a long, long way to run despite what his detractors would have you believe.
A remarkable inner strength.

Jackdaw: a decision for last century. climateuncensored.com/jackda…
A hastily drafted post following the UK Govt’s decision to approve further drilling & production at the Jackdaw gas field in the N.Sea. Please excuse typos, non-sequiturs, etc - I wanted to get the post online today.

We have just experienced our hottest summer on record.
It is unfathomable that the government would approve another gas field in the midst of a climate emergency.
The government has put the profits of fossil fuel giants over the future of our children. Beyond shameful.

Labour approving the Jackdaw gas field won't bring down our energy bills. It will, however, add to the climate crisis.
So who exactly is this for? The public? Or are Labour bowing down to Trump and the fossil fuel industry?
A decision on a second, even larger untapped site, the Rosebank oil field, has been delayed and is being decided separately.

Won’t lower energy bills.
Won’t boost energy security
And creates just 27 jobs.
Compared to all the benefits of investing in renewables and insulating our homes.

The BILLIONS of people on track to be killed this century won’t all be climate campaigners.
Climate campaigners are just people willing to accept uncomfortable scientific truths, while governments bury their heads in fossil fuel profits.

"The “statistial significance” of this model is overwhelming, i.e. we can resoundingly reject the hypothesis that global average SST has warmed at the same rate for the last several decades.
It’s a lot faster now (about 0.3°C/dec) than it was before 2012 (less than 0.1°C/dec)."

To be clear: both the Lib Dems and Labour are saying that they will refuse to form a coalition with the Greens, even if it as the expense of a Reform or Tory government, because of a Green Party conference motion condemning a political ideology that’s led to genocide?
Really?

Can anyone remember the last time @BBCNews interviewed a Palestinian about their experience of the racism of Zionism? Having spent the last two weeks interviewing elderly Nakba survivors in Jordan, driven off their land in their teens because of their ethnicity and religion, I'd be happy to suggest some astonishingly articulate victims of Israeli racism who would be only too happy to tell their tragic stories of eviction, slaughter and dispossession. It is like reporting on the Civil Rights movement in the US and only interviewing outraged Whites
