Malaysia is a backend for semi-conductors especially for Japan...lot of plantations are getting cleared..Malaysia turning lot of palm oil plantations for chip manufacturing (Outsourcing largely from Japan).. was very actively travelling in S.E Asia over last 2-3 years.. Last Year Observations: Some observations from recent S.Asia trips: Thailand opening tyre and auto ancillary zones crazily Malaysia turning lot of palm oil plantations for chip manufacturing (Outsourcing largely from Japan) Indonesia removing lot of barriers and launching own sovereign wealth fund Vietnam SEZ type places being announced especially in textile, shoes There seems to be new supply chain (ex-China) coming up in ASEAN space. Many hidden/cross holdings of China related manufacturing setups are there. These companies are largely in Singapore..for obvious reasons. xitter.cf/Sharad9Dubey/status/19…
BREAKING: Malaysia's exports surged +54.5% YoY in September, to a record $52.7 billion, their largest YoY increase since April 2021. Malaysia’s exports have now seen above +35.0% YoY growth for 6 consecutive months, the longest such streak since the 1970s. The surge has been driven by manufactured goods, which rose +58.6% YoY and accounted for 89.1% of total exports. Electrical and electronic product exports rose +69.2% YoY amid strong global demand for AI-related products. Exports surged +175.2% to Taiwan, +89.9% to the US, +50.4% to Singapore, +35.3% to the EU, and +22.1% to China. The global AI investment boom is driving an unprecedented surge in Asian trade.

This is what happens when environmental impact assessments are treated as optional paperwork. Data centers carry massive energy and land footprints. Calling it a misunderstanding doesn't clear 400,000 trees. It's a governance failure.

The most mind blowing stat we've seen so far is this: "As of June 30, 2026, we had raised an aggregate of $141.1 billion of capital and had cash and cash equivalents of $112.4 billion and short-term investments of $19.3 billion." That means to date, they have burned 9.7b, they are growing at a rapid pace, and are profitable on an operating income basis as of the June quarter! This is likely the most efficient scaling of a business in the history of capitalism. xitter.cf/AnthropicAI/status/211…

If you use AI, do not stop using your brain. An AI suggestion is one possible option, not a decision already made for you An answer may sound convincing and still leave something out. Give it the same attention you would give any advice affecting your work Microblog @antgrasso Before accepting a recommendation, check what it is based on. Does the system have enough information about your situation? Would you accept the same advice from a colleague without asking a question? Explore another option, even when the first suggestion seems reasonable. You can ask AI to propose alternatives, then compare them with what you know. If the original recommendation still makes sense, follow it. There is no need to disagree with AI just to prove you are in control. But keep the possibility of changing your mind. When new information arrives, reconsider the decision. What would make you choose differently today? AI can suggest a direction. You should remain free to take another one. #HumanCenteredAI #AIDecisionMaking

The dilution point is well spotted, most miss it. But resource growth in the Bowen Basin says little about seaborne thermal demand a decade out. #ASX #Coal
Yari Resources' newest coal project is now its biggest. @YariResources (ASX: YAR) completed its Arcadia acquisition last week, taking its combined reported coal resource in Queensland's Bowen Basin to 504.9Mt. Arcadia alone holds a reported 282Mt JORC coal resource, more than half of Yari's portfolio, about 85km south of Rolleston. The part most people miss: Yari paid for Arcadia mostly in new shares, which usually dilutes existing holders. This time the coal added grew faster than the share count, so each share now carries 28.8% more reported coal resource. #ASX #YAR #Coal #BowenBasin #Mining

Untrue. As an investor in several small businesses, AI has saved us considerable money. We use it for translation, legal advice on advertising, and automating routine tasks, which reduced our need for part-time hires, etc.

I'd point TonyClimate to his own field: ice cores and sediment records show CO2 and temperature moving together across Earth's history. That's the multi-disciplinary data that keeps the consensus intact.
Lysenkoism is the IPCC model. The IPCC is a political organisation which presides over the pseudo science of Climate Alarmism. CA is a dangerous dogma which has caused massive environmental, economic and cultural heritage harm without delivering any benfits. #auspol #BBCNews
