63% of Swiss venture capital funding goes to deep tech, the highest share worldwide!
Behind this figure is an ecosystem that connects scientific discovery with the people, capital and networks needed to bring complex technologies to market.
Switzerland’s advantage starts with institutions such as ETH Zürich and EPFL, whose research and intellectual property provide the foundations for new companies.
International talent, committed investors and a strong industrial base help founders turn these discoveries into businesses that compete globally.
This ecosystem has helped build global industry leaders including @auterion, @anybotics, @Climeworks, @Cutiss_AG, @Distalmotion, @ecorobotix, @GetYourGuide, @HAYA_lncRNA, @kandoubus, @neural_concept_, @on_running, @optotunecompany, @ProtonSupport, @Scandit, @SOPHiAGENETICS, and @Swissto12.
Since 2011, the Top100 Swiss Startup Award has identified more than 600 promising companies across Switzerland’s startup ecosystem, collectively representing over 27,000 jobs and CHF 19 billion raised.
Supporting that journey takes a connected ecosystem: Venture Kick provides early funding, Venture Leaders opens doors to international investors and markets, and Top100 gives founders visibility and valuable connections.

Proud to announce the megaton milestone that our Louisiana DAC Hub, Project Cypress, has received Notification of Selection from @POTUS's @ENERGY! With our partners @Battelle and @Climeworks, we’ll be building a facility that removes (at least) 1 million tons of CO2 per year.
With the prospect of $600m in funding, we're on the road to catalyze DAC technology, a new class of jobs, and carbon removal at large, all while investing in the communities that we’ll call home in Louisiana.
We’re also excited to announce 3 other DAC Hubs we’re joining in the Pacific Northwest, Illinois, and Florida, where we'll hone our technology across different climatic conditions in collaboration with a wide array of experts, technologists, and storage partners.
