As a university professor, I rarely hear from students after the final exam. However, there are always a handful of students who will send personal notes or emails after the semester is over. These mean more to me than you could possibly imagine.
Students, if you enjoy the class, let the teacher know. They truly love hearing it.

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of George Bennett.
Bennett epitomized what it meant to be 'A Clemson Man' from the time he stepped on campus as a freshman in 1951 until his passing. A member of the Clemson Athletic Hall of Fame and a former Clemson Executive Director of IPTAY, the legacy of George Bennett will always live on through our infamous $2 bills and each time the cannon is fired during a Clemson Football game.
Bennett passed away earlier Saturday morning at the age of 92.

Here's yet another study showing that kids who get smartphones earlier have worse mental health as teens.
So what's the right age for a first smartphone? I'd say its whatever age you want them to cut back on sleeping, reading, exercise, and socializing. I advise not doing that before 14, at the earliest.
Let's make that a new norm, to break out of the collective action trap together. Some parents may then wait even longer. But lets try to get all kids through middle school in the real world, before exposing them to the many harms of adolescence lived on a phone.
Note that this research use the ABCD study, which is the highest quality longitudinal study going.
It confirms an earlier finding by @sapien_labs that found the same thing

It's time to remove laptops from classrooms.
24 experiments: Students learn more and get better grades after taking notes by hand than typing. It's not just because they're less distracted—writing enables deeper processing and more images.
The pen is mightier than the keyboard.

On #NationalCoachesDay, we want to say a HUGE thank you to all of our amazing coaches who volunteer their time and expertise to Clemson Parks & Rec. ⚾🏀🏈⚽🏐Your dedication to our youth is truly inspiring! ❤️💪 #Clemson
This is a wonderful Clemson family! I encourage you to help if you can. Just today the Austin’s took a load of basic medical supplies to Burnsville. Hard to imagine a world where you can’t buy Tylenol or a Band Aid.
The family of Thomas Austin (Clemson grad, former Clemson coach) needs help. Thomas and his wife Margaret are doing admirable work trying to help the devastated community of Burnsville, NC.

Replying to @vrbo
@vrbo @vacasarentals shame on him! You will not let us cancel a weekend rental in western NC saying you have no reports of power outages! Are you kidding me? Western NC practically wiped off the map. Tone deaf. First responder and disaster relief only. Not vacationers.
I don’t think I’ll get over this anytime soon. This was so much fun! Go Tigers!!🐅 Thank you @espn @accnetwork @MarkPacker

If Trump wins and this Clemson mayoral candidate wins, apparently she plans to preside from another country. Fascinating.

Absolutely zero reason to eject Crighton there.
Watch the replay. He did nothing.
Embarrassing.

In transactional relationships, people only reach out when they want something from you. They use your connection to achieve their goals.
In meaningful relationships, people get in touch when they think of you. Staying connected and being helpful are their goals.
That game was as fun to watch as a national championship of football! Go all the way @ClemsonMBB
